The hotel is outdated but has a very good location. The breakfast is adequate and the staff is not especially welcoming or friendly - again very basic. The beds are really not comfortable and the single beds are very narrow and extremely hard. The housekeeping of the rooms were not very good, the glasses were not cleaned and not on... More

This little hotel has a fine location on the boulevard street of high-end shops and luxury hotels. The Avenida metro stop is 2 blocks away, and the hotel is within a longish walking distance of Rossio Square and the old city center. The front desk people were helpful with a map and directions. Thus endeth the superlatives. ! paid about... More

I had read previous reviews and expected an okay hotel for the room rate, unfortunately I was wrong. The location is excellent. The reception and hotel staff are helpful but the actual accommodation is very poor. We were given room 111, a very small, dark and sad room. The bathroom was very dated and the wash basin surround worn and... More

My daughter and I stayed here on a room only basis (142 Euros for 3 nights) and we were both very happy with it. The hotel was easy to find as it is very close to Avienda Metro station. There is an excellent cafe/bar just by the station which gives cheerful service and good food. We found the hotel room... More

After reading not so good reviews of this hotel we tentatively booked it for our 5 day stay in Lisbon and to be fair it was a perfectly adequate Hotel for the price we paid. Excellent Location, easily accessible from the Airport by metro.. one change at San Sebastian to get to Avenida station which is 2 minutes walk from... More

Stayed here 2 nights and as I planned (and eventually did) to spend most of my time in the city anyway, I was happy with this place. It's simple, slightly old furniture, tiny tv, small shower and a view of an airhole. On the other hand, I paid 40 euros per night for a hotel with a good location, free... More

If you are looking for a place to spend the night for a good deal very close to the Lisbon attractions this hotel is perfect. Do not expect to enjoy the facilities because the hotel needs to upgrade furniture. My room had a a 20 year old tv and it did not worked. The staff is friendly, it has free... More

Room 108 - terrible, wardrobe like a cubby-hole, shower very small and dirty, plastic curtain, I waited till we returned home. Breakfast - very strange coffee. Reception: did not want to know, referred us to tourist office rather than giving simple info. Police station next door to Tourist office: many tourists waiting to have their tales recorded. A few steps... More

This is my second stay at the Veneza. Last stay I was with my family four years ago, and our two rooms faced the main street. We found the rooms then a bit noisy due to traffic. During this stay, I was travelling solo and was given a room on the ground floor facing the back alley. It was much... More

I wrote about Veneza before. Well, we went back again, and the status is the same: Good price, clean room, nice staff. The rugs are still a little bit worn out, but so are mine at home too, so I guess I´m used to it.... OK, the air condition did not work optimally, but I am glad for that: It... More
