I have heard the hostels in Portugal are topnotch, so was expecting a lot. The Traveller's House was perfect. Extremely personable and happy to help staff, great communal areas and plenty of organised things going on if you wanted to join in. Location was excellent and the breakfast was delicious and cleverly thought out. Highly recommended!

We absolutely adored Travellers House!!!!! It is in the most central location (right in the middle of the main pedestrian street) and is easily reached by public transport. The hostel itself is a boutique hostel (small) and has the feeling of a small family home which has opened its doors to guests - In fact, every morning you are welcomed... More

Had two nights here but wish we'd been in Lisbon for longer. Firstly the hostel is super clean, bathrooms are in great condition, the breakfast (included) was definitely the best I've had at a hostel (bacon+eggs, crepes or muesli and yoghurt), the dorms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The common area is awesome, tidy, good music on, and... More

The hostel is really clean and central. You can go almost everywhere from there on foot, the trams for Belem and St. Joao's castle are just 1 minute away from it. Thanks to Alex for the useful tips about restaurants and sightseeings. I would definitely recommend it, plus every night there is an event at the hostel! The breakfast is... More

An absolutely perfect hostel as all the reviews here do it justice. The location is impeccable (1 minute from the water, dead center of the city), the staff is the friendliest, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the travellers the best. The prices were very reasonable and the top floor rooms (which get hot in the summer)... More

This is the place when going to Lisbon. Superb in every way. Spent there 3 night and was quite sad to leave the place. Centrally located it is close to everything, or if you want to go outside the city, metro is close by. Staff is helpful and interested to talk with you. All the various stuff they do in... More

Loved my stay at the Traveller's house. I stayed in 6 hostels in different western european cities on this trip and my stay at Traveller's house was by far the best. Pros: -THE STAFF: the friendliest most informed hostel staff I came across, a group of really cool people who are easy to talk to and get along with. -Feels... More

I stayed here on a week long trip to Lisbon and the hostel was perfect. You get breakfast in the morning, they take you on pub crawls and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly about nearby attractions. One of the staff there told us all about how to get to Sintra, and what to do when we got there, as... More

We stayed here for 4 nights with 5 underaged girls. We had the 6 bed dorm which we had to share with another girl but that was more of a problem for her than for us, i guess :) We had the 'Porto' room, which had a beuatiful view off Rua Augusta The hostel is super clean and cosy, the... More
