Antonio and his entire staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on getting around, and Antonio helped us book hotels in other cities, arranged an early taxi to the airport, etc. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with beautiful furnishings. You will probably want to supplement the breakfast provided. We felt safe in the area, and... More

Next time I´ll come with my family and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the cultivated standart. This hotel is a first offer to get in touch with the sympatic portugiese mentality. A big breakfeast - terasse is an opportunity to get in contact with international guests and to exchange travel experience.

Very unique B & B, in central part of Lisbon. An amazing old building with many rooms filled with antique furniture. So cheap for what you get. We paid about 27 euro for a twin and got two rooms with comfortable beds and gorgeous old dark wardrobes, mirrors and decorations. The place is scrupulously clean and the woman who works... More

I stayed here twice. The neighborhood is sketchy (although that didn't bother me), it's a long walk to the center and the owner is not mentally stable. There are better places at the same price in other parts of Lisbon. I would recommend Casa Costa do Castelo, which is beautiful and right under the Castelo and costs about the same... More

a few years ago on my first visit to Lisbon I found this B and B quite by accident..it is now the only place i will stay, let me explain. Macedo is in a house that makes me feel that I am in the real Portugal...beautiful furniture, the area is where a lot of local people live. The nearby cafes... More

This was a very comfortable place. It's hard to find...so when you book google map it and press street view so you have an idea what to look for. Just because it's right beside a park but the entrance is a black door with no sign. When you find the #44 you'll see a small sign that says Macedo....there you... More
