I read the reviews then booked the marisela. I told the girlfriend not to expect to much in the way of luxury so she would not be to disappointed in the room. The day we got there was the metro strike 21/10/14 so chaos at the airport and massive delays to get transport into city, luckily we took the bus... More

Did not get the room we booked, she simply said it was not available. A stinky room wihout any sheets, windows, dirty floor and bathroom. I'd rather sleep on a bench in the park. So we took our stuff and (luckely) found another place. Very clean, new, and helplfull staff. 35€ per night. Marisela-> thriller!

This is an old hotel/pension located very close to Parque Eduardo VII in a nice/upscale neighborhood. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and a large supermarket within a short 2-3 minute walk. My private room (w/private bath) was very large. It had two beds, a writing desk and the wondows/doors opened onto a small balcony overlooking the tree-lined street. The... More

This hotel located in old building situated away from the center of Lisbon. You will get what you paid for: very basic comfort with no any amenities. Stuffy, dark and not very clean halls and rooms, very old and hardly used furniture, grey and hard bed linen and towels, no any toiletries in bathroom. Any restaurant or bar, but you... More

We booked here as wanted somewhere to sleep near the airport before a long journey. Unfortunately the bed was so small and uncomfortable we barely slept at all. The neighbours also could be heard playing a beeping game. The position is good between the train station and airport but apart from that the room was horrible.

My room was nothing compared to pictures on 'booking'. It was dark and old. It was very dark and old. It had no view (from the window you saw only walls like inside a chimney!) and below was a restaurant so it smeld like a fried fish all the time. We booked more night but stayed there only because of... More

if you are searching a no frills hotel in Lisbon, Residencial Marisela is the answer. Near to Picoas metro station (linha amarela), some huge malls, Parque Eduardo VII, Praca Marques de Pombal, Avenida da Libertade and so on. The hotel is ok, the staff is courteous, helpful at any time of the day or night... but you need to ask... More

Really with the price only that made me choose this place but I was not really disappointed at all. They assigned me first a room on top floor but after they saw that we were a group of 2 old ladies, so decided to change room for us on a lower floor for easier access as they have no lift.... More

So its by no means The Ritz but for the price it's certainly great for a cheap weekend away in Lisbon. The bedroom was spacious and a functioning bathroom, it is a little dark and certainly an old building. One negative is the stairs we were on top floor and there was no lift. The hotel is close to a... More

More of a B&B than a hotel minus the breakfast. Our ensuite room was clean and average. I didn't find the staff very helpful. It was quite a depressing place to stay in based on the gloom and atmosphere of the 'hotel'. Wouldn't visit again.
