The location of this hostel is really central, just a few steps from the baixa-chiado metro station which is ideal to visit the whole city by foot or tram. Restaurants and bars are nearby (barrio alto & alfama). We had a private room for 2, except for the beds that weren't comfortable, rooms are nice, each one has it's own... More

The rooms and facilities have been perfectly clean and individually designed by local artists. Pancakes are freshly served for breakfast, also fresh fruits and juices. The staff has been very friendly and good at speaking english. Interiour design was amazing and unique. Can't wait to go back asap.

I have to admit I had never stayed at a hostel up until Living Lounge, which was recommended by a friend with a similar traveling style as me. To provide context: I have stayed at not-so-nice and mid-range hotels before but had largely gotten used to five-star resorts and luxury properties in my most recent leisure travels. I decided to... Easy access thru Aerobus, Metro, Bus Tram. Centrally located. My husband and I liked everything about this hostel. Spacious bathrooms, nice breakfast, very helpful staff, clean rooms, towels, city maps, organized activities, able to store our suitcases and then come back to take a showe for our late train ride on the day of check out. We enjoyed our Free... More

We liked everything about this hostel experience (our first). Besides the fantastic price, clean rooms (with oftentimes interesting travelers to share experiences with), clean and spacious bathrooms and offering lots of organized activities for small groups/singles, but it was the staff that made all the difference! Their advice, be it for restaurants (sit-down, tapas, quick bite), parking, sightseeing, transportation, you... More

Absolute gem of a hostel. Stayed in one of the double rooms with shared bathrooms. Brilliant location right across from Metro and within 5 minute walk of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Will definitely return to Lisbon and stay here again. It was the nicest and cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. Staff were lovely and helpful. Really great... More

This hostel was way better than any other hostels I've stayed in and better than a lot of hotels too. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they give you a free pdf guide to Lisbon which is great and they can recommend everything from restaurants to nightlife. Be sure to try one of the lollies at the reception desk!... More

I stayed for 3 night at the living lounge hostel (at the rue do crucifixo one) in a private 2 person room with shared bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay there, the rooms were simple but had everything you need and each room had a theme that the hosts put a great deal of effort to personalize. Room and bathrooms... More

Living Lounge was definitely a step above a hostel. I had a double room with a friend and felt like I was in a decent hotel. Decor was trendy and the bathroom was modern. Nice common areas and balcony around the whole building. Located in a perfect area, walking distance to everything and felt safe. The best part though, was... More

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed. Clean, nice rooms, wifi, nice common areas but most importantly for a hostel, a great atmosphere! We got to know many people during the (cheap) dinner and even continued travelling with some of them! This hostel is an experience you should live!
