We stayed here for a week and it was a great place to chill. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, good company, pleasant walks, friendly atmosphere and easy travel on the local buses down to Cascais or up to Sintra. The hotel is in a National Park and the coast is very pleasant. There are plenty of places to eat locally offering... More

Thank you so much Aasta and James for the wonderful time you offered me at your beautiful B&B amidst what felt like a tropical rain forest :) I still remember the walks in nature, the beautiful villa, taking a swim, enjoying your peaceful & quiet garden and of course the great & healthy food. Thanks for welcoming me so warm... More

I stayed here for 2 nights recently while on a hiking tour through the area. It's a small guesthouse with 5 or 6 rooms that is run by a very nice American couple. I was the only person staying there at the time as it was mid-week during the off season, but they made me feel very welcome and were... More

For our main holiday, in late autumn as in recent years, this year we decided not to travel to the southern hemisphere, because we had only little more than two weeks time. So we chose Portugal, because in November, you can have lovely weather there. You CAN, but that's another story... Since we live as much vegan as we can, we... More

I have just returned from a very enjoyable and restorative week's stay at Colina Flora in Sintra. It is set in a lovely location and I walked from the front door to the spectacular coast line and into the hills. I visited local sites on foot but there was also a handy bus and transport on offer from Aastra and... More

Quinta Colina Flora - a "green" country guesthouse with lots of style and special amenities, and peacefully located in the rural hills of the amazing Sintra Natural Park. Super service / hospitality and a perfect base for visiting historic sites, hiking and to visit some very nice sea food restaurants - all located next to the beach. With the right... More

This is the simple life. For peace, for serenity, for soothing detoxing this is the most subtly spiritual of landscapes. If you need a retreat from the intense hubbub of London, Quinta Colina Flora is the best of long or short term stays, particularly if you are vegetarian. This isn't a pre-requisite. Run with adept skill and resourceful enthusiasm by... More

Location makes it easy to use public transport, aided by James' local pick up service. The place itself is spotless and beautifully kept. Rooms individual, well set up, showers great. Breakfast is fabulous. James and Aasta are friendly and locally integrated and very well informed, with lots of info and detailed advice available to make local walks possible in a... More

Me and my wife stayed two nights at Colina Flora and we would move in if we could! We were looking exactly for what we found: a relaxing and peaceful hideaway for the weekend. Actually, we found more than that. James and Aasta are wonderful and they received us like old friends. We chose the Lilly room, beautiful and romantic,... More

Aasta and James have created a beautiful home to stay in and we had such a wonderful time. The bus stop is 5 minutes down the road and travels hourly to cascais and sintra, and stops in many places in between, so there is no worry about renting a car. We stayed in Lily, the “smallest” room, it may be... More
