After a few busy days in Lisbon, this is a great place to relax :-) The resort is not near a beach, has no shop on site, in fact it is quite limited in some respects. We are just back from a 10-day stay at the VivaMarinha ApartHotel in Cascais and were very impressed with it. The main thing we loved was the space - with 2 young boys you can often feel a bit confined in holiday accommodation but not here. The moment you enter the gate you will say WOW and keep saying it until you reach the room! The gardens are big and lovely, the entrance is astounishing but the better of it all is the room. This is a brand new development in the best part of Cascais, Quinta de Marinha. Nested in a pine forest is a five star "aparthotel" or what in the US you would call hotel suites.
