We found this hotel somewhat disappointing. The room we got (No 1) was in need of some TLC and it smelled a bit drainy. Most things in it look tried. The bathroom was simple but clean. The shower had good water pressure. Breakfast we enjoyed we had omelet’s each day. We did see room no. 2 and it looked much... More

Everything very good at this amazing hotel with its monumental breakfast room (assume it was the officers mess) and inbuilt chapel. A Nescafe coffee machine but see our tip on these written up at the review of Hotel Nova Sintra. The staff make this hotel so welcoming. See our tip on the crows nest room 31 we had with views... The hotel is in a beautiful part of Cascais, where you get to experience the intriguing narrow lanes that weave through ancient houses. The garden is a treasure, very beautiful. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. But, on the first floor of the building only, there was serious mold problem due to moisture in the air, the rooms... More

Very friendly and quiet place in center of Cascais. Solar Dom Carlos is a couple minutes walk to town. The staff make this place the success that it is. So helpful, so friendly, so efficient, I cannot commend them highly enough.

I have stayed at one of the best location in the town of Cascais, thanks to Solar Dom Carlos, that welcomed us with a smile and all the best perks. Staff is very friendly and you can borrow even beach towels and umbriellas from the hotel. The hotel is situated 7 minutes walk from the centre of the town so... More

It was a little hard to find, down a narrow street in old Cascais, but a very welcome sight when we did with on street parking directly opposite and we were quickly shown to our ground floor room with direct garden access - think this was an upgrade as it was a triple and we'd booked a twin. The room... More

This was an unexpected surprise- a former Royal summerhouse situated in the heart of old Cascais, yet close to the seafront. Hospitality in this family-run hotel was first-class,assistance prompt and efficient, cooked breakfast in the palatial dining-room varied and sumptuous while the garden provided a perfect picnic-site and an arbour from mid-day heat. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom... More

We stayed at this residencial for one night. We had a bedroom on the first floor. We drove to the location, but it was hard to locate because the streets of Cascais are a bit confusing. The staff was very nice and the rooms were big and clean. They had good breakfast. The rooms were dusty and a bit antiquated.... More

Had a little 4 night break back in Cascais and stayed here for the first time. Great location and nice spacious rooms together with fridge and tea / coffee facilities which is always a good thing. The rooms are a little bit tired and could do with a re-fresh but on the whole an enjoyable stay with very friendly staff.... More
