The siting of the hotel in an old fortress has been accomplished with great aplomb. The rooms and facilities are truly impressive, with fine dining available. It is an easy walk into Cascais, which is a very attractive town in itself, and coastal walks are also rewarding. We would recommend it as an alternative to staying in Lisbon, since access... More

Just returned from a lovely week staying at the Pousada De Cascais and was very pleased with the location, comfort and most of all impressed with the staff, always smiling and taking time to speak to guests by name and advising of places and directions to the surrounding area. The location was great with the Marina at one side and... More

This hotel has been reviewed extensively so just a few extra thoughts. We arrived late in the evening and must have driven around Cascais' tricky one way system three times before we found it. Perhaps we were being stupid but we just hadn't realised that you had to drive through a stone archway to get to the Pousada and the... More

We hired a car at the airport and 40 minutes later we were motoring around the small and charming town of Cascais, which has its own relaxed resort-style atmosphere despite its being effectively a northern suburb of the city of Lisbon It took a while to find the hotel as it is not signposted in the town and is somewhat... we returned to this pousada as the first stay had been so enjoyable. This stay was after a busy work conference in Lisbon to relax over the following weekend which was exactly what we experienced. The food and wines are lovely especially in the main hotel. The tapas bar in the courtyard has a great setting but the food was... More

A little funky layout, due to being an old military fortress. But very charming. Great location with lots of quaint shops, food, galleries, etc. Rooms were clean, staff was great. Can't wait to go back again.

Just got back from a long weekend and first time hubby and I have been on a holiday on our own without the children. Hotel, location and service just superb. We had the best time ever! Pls beware we got stung by airport rookie taxi driver ( nothing to do with airline or hotel I hasten to add) from Lisbon and... More

This 16th century royal fortress shelters since 2012 one of the best hotels in Portugal. It belongs to the Pestana galaxy. According to my view, Pestana are Masters in Good Taste Luxury. The modern, very pure and stylish architecture and decoration of the hotel mingles perfectly with the ancient fortress. Its situation just above the sea marina allows for exclusive... More

The hotel is located right in the center of the small city of Cascais inside an ancient fort. The hotel is surrounded by art galleries, and some rooms are even designed by national artists. It has a very modern and design facility, the wi-fi (free) works perfectly all around the hotel, rooms are clean and have a good size/design. Highly... More

This pousada is built in the old military castel. Situated at the marina and seaview to the Atlantic ocean. The restaurants serve Portuguese dishes at high level - to reasonable prices. The staff is customer oriented, professional and focused upon service. Absolutely at hotel you would like to be able to visit again.
