I would not recommend this hotel to my friends and I am disappointed we had booked 3 days there as its not as good as the website makes out! The pool and garden are on a busy main road with lorries hurtling up and down all day, the noise is loud and can also be heard in the bedrooms, by... more

We loved this hotel. We loved exploring Cascais and the coast. But the train to Lison is so convenient -- 30 minutes to the city, that we spent the day in Lisbon arrived about 9:30 a.m., toured the city, had lunch, went to the flea market, had dinner and were home by 12:30 a.m. The hotel is a healthy walk... more

The hotel staff are friendly and most helpful. Marco has been most patient with my numerous questions and requests. The restaurant is excellent and the view is outstanding! My room is spacious and there is a nice balcony to enjoy your morning or drink in the evening. While the hotel is a tad difficult to find without a GPS product,... more

The main structure is a nice hotel however the addition is not worth the money. Also, the road out in front is very busy and includes some less than savory characters. Otherwise over priced. more

We stayed at Senhora da Guia for a long weekend in June. Our choice was mainly based on the reviews we had read and recommendations from some business colleagues in Cascais & Lisbon. I contacted the hotel directly and they couldn't have been more helpful which gave me reassurance we had made the right choice - we were not disappointed!... more

We stayed for 4 nights recently and had a fantastic time. Weather was fab, even in February, and complimented the stunning ocean views from our balcony. Service is very good without being too over-the-top. Breakfast is average but food in general was the best we experienced in Cascais. Great bicycle track up and down the coast - well worth hiring... more

We stayed here in June 2007 for 3 nights and were overall very satisfied with the Senhora da Guia. Here's what to expect. LOCATION - its approx 4km from the main train station in Cascais, located along the coastal road. We took taxis because they are cheap and plentiful. About 5-7 euros for a ride into town. We did walk... more

The Senhora da Guia is a very elegant property in front of the ocean but... there is a busy road at day just in the middle and unfortunately, it's hard to relax in the pool area because it's really too noisy and to relax is impossible. However, at night, the peaceful and sereine atmosphere comes back and thus, you can... more
