Just back from a week stay at Hotel Cidadela. We could not fault this hotel in any way and found it to be excellent value for money. Once you accept that the decor is dated and the hotel is old you will not be disappointed. The hotel is spotless, well run, with very friendly staff. It is in a good... More

This hotel is sadly showing its age and in need of serious updating. Fortunately for me I had a room on the 4th floor so the view was excellent which made up for the dated décor and neglect in this hotel. Breakfasts were fair only and the room, which was clean when I arrived, did not get hovered at all... More

We stayed here for two nights and can have no complaints. The staff at reception are exceptionally helpful, always having as much time as you need for questions. The room we stayed in overlooked the pool. The room itself was a bit dated but it was clean, maintained well and had an excellent sleep quality. The AC was good and... More

Must say that we were not sure what to expect as we've seen some great and not so good reviews about this hotel. But honestly that was one of the best hotels we stayed in just because it was a bit diffrent. It's kept in a little old fashion style, furnishing is and decorations are a bit dated, that's very true,... More

This is an OK hotel. Nothing spectacular or special. Some positives: Great service-minded and very friendly staff, a swimming pool, balcony in the room and the view over the sea (especially if you are on the top/5th floor as we were, facing the sea). Also, the location is good - close to central down town Cascais. Some negatives: it is... More

We are just back from Caiscais and stayed here. It is like stepping back to 1970's decor, not unlike the hotel from the shining (but no where near as big) It is old fashioned BUT it is spotless, and the decor is not worn. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast but there was lots of everything and could not be... More

Spent a few nights here a few weeks ago. Booked double room through an on-line broker, only to be told at reception that " We don't do Double Rooms for cheap prices" You are getting a Twin Room. The Hotel it self is clean and well presented if not a little 70's .. 20 Minute Walk to the town centre... More

We arrived to discover a real life time warp hotel, sending us hurtling back to an age of waistcoated waiters pushing squeaky trolleys, wood-chipped/wood-panelled/wood-furnished rooms and mechanical lifts with concertina doors. Quite enjoyed the retro theme. The indoor plumbing surprisingly forceful, the pool a nice size in lovely garden and the whole place kept flawlessly spotless. Breakfast missing a little... More

Very pleasant Hotel, with friendly and helpful Reception staff. The room was spotlessly clean and large with a fine view from the balcony. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, which turned out to be a good choice as the Hotel was very quiet in the evenings and there was a very good choice of restaurants in the town which... More

Just home from a wonderful weeks holiday in Cidadela. Staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Room was large with a beautiful view and cleaned everyday. Pool was terrific, bar and common areas were beautiful. A terrific place to stay and near everywhere. We will be back.
