Very modern, bright, well furnished. It deserves to be expensive but it is very reasonable, A perfect location for touring around the area and seveeral decent restaurants within a couple hundred yards. Nice pool, well equiped gym and very good breakfast. Our room on the third floor overlooked the church which is a very dramatic sight.

We stayed just one night in the hotel, but we were charmed with the views and the quality of service. The hotel is stylish, nicely located almost next to the monastery, comfortable and clean. We were served a delicious breakfast. I think best hotel we`ve stayed in Portugal!

On the plus I agree the rooms have nice decor and our monastery viewed was superb albeit the room was on the small side. The entire building is lovely and the breakfast adequate. Brilliant. Don't even bother looking at other places. This small modernised place is brilliant, and the owner could not be more helpful. If one is free, ask for a room overlooking the cathedral/monastery.
