My husband and I stayed two nights at Mestre Alfonso, since we used Batalha as our base to visit other towns. We loved the hotel. This is the former pousada hotel, recently renovated. Very well situated and comfortable. But it could have been better, if the renovation had focused less on design and more on practical comfort. Spotlights in the bathroom leave your head in the dark; there is almost no place to work on the writing desk, and no plug socket available. One evening... more

Wonderful property. Located just beside the monastery of Batalha, in a cozy building, very well furnished and decorated. Attendants were very helpful and friendly. WONDERFUL food and desserts.
