I am surprised to find negative comments about this hotel. We actually loved it ( can you tell?). Gorgeous building, spacious room, clean and with anything you need in it. The Palacio da Lousa was somewhat a deception. The hotel facade looks very impressive and the setting is OK. But as usual the devil is in the detail. The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is exceptional the pool is delightful. But the air-conditioning is very noisy even when switched off. The view from the gardens is of a housing estate. We just came from two nights at Palacio da Lousa and LOVED IT. The hotel is very quiet, clean, comfortable and the staff very helpfull. The hotel is a 19th century palace, and it´s simply fabulous. I recomend it. Lousa and the mountains nearby are an experience not to miss. more
