A bit disappointing on the cleanliness of the room - soap stains on sink and floor. Also, hand soap at sink was almost running out and by the end of the one day stay it was gone. Hotel staff not very welcoming. But large rooms with an awesome panoramic view of the city. Well-impressed by the restaurant service provided. Good... More

A slightly dated hotel with a wonderful view of the city. I never felt welcome. the bar wasn't manned; the staff seemed to ignore clients and whole place looked half closed. Food was very average and less choice than other hotels from the biuffet.

This dated hotel has seen better days. A bit depressing, out of the way (across the river from the town) hotel full of tour groups. The dinner was just OK and the breakfast was passable. If you want to get the flavor of Coimbra, do not choose this hotel. Having said that, it does have a very nice panoramic view... More

We live close to Coimbra and were invited to dinner here with friends. The staff are very agreeable, and it was lovely to sit in a good sized dining room with no TV on!! We had the mixed hors d'oeuvres, which was very nice. Unfortunately the main course was not. I had 'lombinho' in red wine reduction, which should be... More

Very nice hotel, great location with a spectacular view of the city of Coimbra. What I liked most was the breakfast, with a good variety of choices including English breakfast. What I liked least was the material already a little outdated. The people was very competent and nice. Very clean in all areas.

Stayed over a Saturday night. The music coming from the lobby, was so loud, despite being on the floor above, it sounded like they were in the hall. The hotel is a bit run down, but clean & acceptable.

Like another reviewer wrote we were on a tour and think this place should be taken off their list of hotels. The rooms are musty smelling and very dated. It is not near anything so you can't really go out and eat. Wi-fi was decent but that was about all.
