We were looking for an hotel in Aveiro that allowed us to bring our dog with us. It is a 12kgs 4 months old mastiff, it does not bark, it's very calm and obviously it is too small to leave it alone or with strangers. We found this hotel at trip advisor as "pets allowed", we planned everything, and when... More

stayed here for a night as we were touring north portugal , quite easy to find nice little hotel right in the center of Aveiro, it served its purpose brilliant as a quick stop over before continuing to tour.

Not much to see in Aveiro, but we stopped on the way from Porto to Lisbon. Very well run hotel, large room and bathroom. Very clean. Good WIFI connection. Friendly front desk staff. Excellent breakfast selection and plentiful. Attractive atmosphere. Very close to the train station and only 15 minute walk from the city center.

On arrival the welcome was friendly enough and we had no complaints about any staff members. The hotel is about 15 - 20 minutes stroll from the centre of the town - and slightly downhill. The Veneza is in a side street off of a main road and we were expecting that it could be noisy from traffic at night.... More

So Aveiro thinks it is the Venice of Portugal!! It is mistaken. Even at the heart of the old city we found it very unattractive. The restaurants in the old town, however, served excellent quality fish. The hotel was OK. We had a large quiet room with a good bathroom. So if you have to stay in Aveiro it is... More

This small hotel was ideal for our short visit. We chose it partly because it was near the station and we were travelling around by train, it is quite a walk I to town in the heat but we got used to it. The price was reasonable, room with all the required facilities, an outdoor garden area and a good... More

Stayed 1 night with my husband and grandchild on the first floor in July 2014. After having a/c on for 7 hours, the room temperature was up to 26 celcius with the smell of rotten water. When complained to staff member Ms. Ana Rosa, she went to verify the problem, and told me the a/c was working, that it was... More

Good size, comfortable rooms. Very generous breakfast buffet. Relaxing outdoor patio garden. A very decent hotel for the price. As others have noted, it's a bit of a walk to the actual centre of town but only about 10-15 minutes, so hardly arduous. Would stay again.

Family run hotel which although a bit old fashioned delivers good rooms and breakfast at reasonable prices. Friendly and comfortable with good sized rooms but a bit of a walk to town centre. Unfortunately the weather prevented us using what appeared to be a well set out breakfast patio area.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel - we didn't take breakfast as a result of over indulging in the excellent meal the night prior - The hotel is not on the main arena though close enough to enjoy the walk to the estuary and the boats and other attractions including a great bar that introduced us to some different drinks...
