It is a cheap hotel located in the city centre. The room and the bathroom were a little bit outdated, but it has a beautiful vintage common room for breakfasts. One of the best towels I ever used in a hotel.

We stayed there in April 2011. It is an average Hotel in a good location and at 45 Euro for a room including breakfast for two people it was by far the best deal on this trip.

Location was good to get into the old town and the pedestrian zone is close. Some English spoken by staff and they gave us a good price on a room that had an attached sitting room and a balcony you could pitch a tent on. My wife and I were visiting the area from New York and found this great property. Price was very reasonable for a junior suite with an open balcony and a separate living area. Truly a huge room for Europe. Heating and A/C had separate remote control. Bathroom was large with heated floors. Ample closet space the curtains all worked great.... More

Best Western is not our choice usually, but this hotel maintained a distinct character. It's in a terrific location on a quiet pedestrianized street withing walking distance to the canal. It's a little tired but price reflected that. Full buffet breakfast was outstanding! We were there in shoulder season and negotiated a good price.

Hotel is old, at reception desk there is noone speaking English, whater was cold, no internet in the room

I normally stay in small pensions, but was glad I chose the Imperial for 5 nights. I paid only 45 euros (the normal listed rate is 63 - ask), and found the room to be very quiet and comfortable.
