The hotel is located in the center of Ponta Delgado. Rooms are fine but not outstanding. I would say the biggest plus of the hotel is the location. The breakfast was ok but when some items were gone there was no refill. Don't like the dining room, dark and no atmosphere. The food was reasonable.

The Colegio has a fascinating history and a wonderful location. The public rooms and the pool area are lovely. Some of the rooms are quite nice, with antique furniture, and some very boring and pedestrian. The restaurant is very good, but expensive. The breakfast buffet is quite good, but the dining area for the buffet is small and you want... More

Overall, a good experience but agree with some of the reservations of other reviewers. The location is very good, just a short walk from most of the local attractions, although the walk can be interesting since the street is very narrow and cars squeeze by - I was brushed by a wing mirror. The room we had was facing the... More

We stayed here our first 2 nights in Ponta Delgada and we wish we had stayed longer! It's walking distance to everything, including the big shopping mall that's a little further north. Our tour guide recommended we try the restaurant that has a similar name closeby (27 Colegio) where they serve sushi by a sushi chef! Unfortunately we didn't get... More

Loved the quaintness of this hotel. Beds weren't incredibly comfortable but a great hotel for the value. We would definitely stay here again and while we didn't come with our kids this time, I see a kids play room and think that this would totally work for families too. Could easily walk to restaurants. Very happy with our choice.

Main floor is nice, although some walls and ceilings are suffering from humidity and are badly in need of repairing. Restaurant is good (see separate review). Breakfast so so. Only place I have seen in Europe where they would charge extra for an espresso at breakfast. Limited selection of fruit and cheese/ham. Hallways smell of humidity, but rooms are OK... More

We spend two nights here, one at the beginning of our seven day trip around Saõ Miguel and one at the end. We had two different rooms, both very spacious and with all the necessary comfort. The small swimmingpool fills the patio. Breakfast is varied and tasty. When we had to leave early for our flight to Flores, it was... More

From the outside this hotel looked like it should have had a great deal of character but inside was disappointing. The rooms were like an airport hotel, with none of the character we anticipated when we arrived at the beautiful reception. There was damp on the wall of our room. The water from our shower never got warm, so it... More

We enjoyed the history of the building, (former convent and music school) which they have preserved very nicely. The location on a quiet narrow cobbled street provides ambiance, but it is an easy walk to the harbour and central square. The rooms have high ceilings and are comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good and the hotel restauarant O Colmeia was excellent... More

We were delighted with the charm, location, comfort, and especially the free parking at this city center hotel. Close to all of Ponta Delgada's city attractions, but in an area where parking can be a challenge (though far from impossible), the free underground parking, accessed by elevator, was a huge extra. Desk staff was exceedingly gracious about attending to he... More
