We spent 8 nights on Sao Miguel. The first four in Furnas, last four here. The vistas from the hotel room and the bar areas are truly first class. You're also adjacent to a nice beach within walking distance. Everything in our room area was functional. The included breakfast was more than adequate as well (although a bit crowded at... More

This hotel is beautiful, the location on the cliffs is spectacular. Clean and comfortabel room, really nice to sit on the balcony. Great big pool but 3,5m deep so not safe for children. There is a restaurant with buffet. Until 7h pm you can order pastas, salads, burgers and more at the bar near the pool. In the evening the... More

We loved this hotel. The views are absolutely wonderful. We had an excellent triple room with great sea view with a large balcony on the ground floor with easy access to the main areas. The pool is a very good size, was never overcrowded when we were there and again has brilliant views over the ocean. As previous reviewers have... More

Definitely the best place to stay on the island! Whilst the decor is a little tired, the view is incredible. A short walk through a sloping garden leads you to a small cove where you can enjoy the sounds of the sea. All rooms have a balcony where you can enjoy the view at sunrise and sunset. Hire a car... We were concerned at the location of the hotel with reviews from Trip-advisor but need not. This hotel is a fab hotel in a great but remote location. There is only three floors and the rooms are clean and tidy, a little old fastened but that's the Azores for you. The staff were friendly and polite and did what they... More

We spent a week in Caloura Hotel Resort in early July and we can highly recommend it for relaxing close to nature holidays. The 80-room hotel originally was built about 40 years ago but since then was expanded and modernized. The hotel strongest asset is its location - at scenic cliffs area, about 5mins walk to two very nice public... More

Ok, if you look at this hotel on paper..it's ok..rooms clean, pool adequate...gym very small and half working...but...when your here you forget everything..you have a panoramic view of the Atlantic...your near a volcanic lagoon..and your down the road from all the whale watching, scuba, dolphin swimming etc. the atmosphere is good to... Remember Azores is a poor part of Portugal,... More

Caloura hotel is a large hotel. People at the reception were not friendly at all! For example, when we checked out, they only said the amount we had to pay without any words like "goodbye, have a nice trip". The hotel is very expensive for snacks in the bar at the pool and in the restaurant. For that price, you... More

We spend 2 weeks on the island in this hotel. And I think its probably the hotel with one of the best views you can have, every room has a view over the ocean. It's clean and has a good and friendly service and everyone speaks very good English. The furniture in the room is a bit outdated but but... More

It's a beautiful and relaxing place. Enjoy our day there Not to be missed I love the rasa you will need to have a car it is far from the city But if you want yo have a quit relaxing time it is a very nice place to get away from it all. Would go back again.
