Spent 2 nights here, very quiet village and hotel, 10 guests in total at time of our visit - I'm sure we were outnumbered by staff. Nowhere special to eat in village so eat in twice - excellent food and service. Buffet breakfast was good and set you up for the day.The room and overall style of the hotel was... More

This hotel was quite a surprise. Nordeste is the farthest town we went to from Ponta Delgado, and we took the mountainous roads to get there. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We had a view of sunrise, the surprise was that there was sun, after so much rain!! The hotel is modern, the dining service was classy, and the... More

Me, my wife and my daughter (7 years old) spend a weekend here. We are from São Miguel island but this was the first time we stayed here. Fantastic views, very nice room (not oudated for my standards) with good commodities and very good beds. The bathroom was good with a fantastic water pression. The staff was very friendly and... Also this hotel belongs to the "major" Azores Hotel Chain and suffers of missing investments in renovations (as practially do all the hotels on the islands). The hotel is maybe open for 10-12 years and the bathrooms would urgently need some updates, the decor is ok and the balconies are a big plus (if your neighbour doesn't start to smoke... More

My wife and I only spent one night here after a disappointing stay in terra nostra, furnas beautiful hotel situated above the small village of Nordeste great panoramic views. This hotel will get more popular when the highway from Ponta Delgada is completed. Usual issues with bed comfort but at least our suite had a king size bed. The dining room... More

General: Clean, comfortable. Friendly staff, nice cheerful décor. Relaxed atmosphere. Great place to explore that part of the island. Location: Quiet,(except for 2 cockerels at 5am!) up the hill above Nordeste. Great views across the town and to the sea. Reception: 24h friendly helpful staff with good English. Wifi: available throughout hotel but not free. You have to purchase 30... More

Nordeste is a small village in beautiful surrounding. For hiking in the rainforest or exploring the small roads by car, this hotels location is good. Reception didn't have much information about good walking trails but local turist infrormation had some maps. But good ones are not for sale. And they also didn't know that some walking trails were closed (for... More

All rooms have an amazing sea view. The hotel also has a small swimming pool, but use this for the evening, do not hang in there during the day. Explore the nearby rain forrest, it is absolutely stunning. Go hiking. Rent a car. Although the hotel is situated in a quiet, but beautiful little town, full of blossoms, there is... More

This is a nice hotel (Estalagem means small hotel). Nice people. Beware that it is located about 2 hours from Sao Miguel airport. The coast to the south is extraordinary, great BBQ or picnic spots. They even furnish wood in the BBQ pits, amazing. Make your reservation directly with hotel, not with an "agent". Then you can modify or cancel... More

We booked this hotel as a part of our 'car tour of Sao Miquel' for two nights. We thought that Azores are quiet but nothing prepared us for this. It was unbelievably quiet!!! We first thought that we were the only guests here. There is nothing wrong with this hotel and if you want VERY quiet holiday than this is... More
