Good standards from this Hotel. Nice and quiet generally apart from the ferry hooter waking us up at 7.15 am when it departed. Excellent views of Pico island and the harbour. Breakfast was an excellent buffet each day(5 day stay). Lovely upstairs lounge for relaxing and chatting with a separate sitting area in the upstairs bar with fab views of... More

Located overlooking Horta harbour & marina, with a splendid view of the island of Pico, this extremely modern and well-appointed hotel was everything we could have wanted to celebrate a special birthday. The rooms themselves were extremely spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel benefits from a restaurant which offers a nightly buffet dinner at a reasonable price, including beer... More

This is a clean and modern hotel, with very friendly staff. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable - ours was looking over a courtyard in the middle of the hotel. In you could get a sea/Pico view bedroom at the front - it would obviously be better, but we were in a party with pre-booked rooms. There was a fridge... More

We enjoyed this hotel and especially the good situation direct on the boulevard of Horta, viewing the harbour. The first room we got had 2 twin beds, the second had a double bed but was completely smoked/smelly (unfortunatly we had this experience more often on the Azores). At the end we received a nice and fresh room, with view on... More

The hotel's website and literature make the most of the view across the channel to Pico so make sure you do too and request a sea view. I imagine we'd have felt disappointed if we'd missed out on this as, almost paradoxically, one of the nicest things about Horta and much of Faial in general is its view of another... More

Our second stay at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and speak good English. The rooms are comfortbale and spacious but do not have balconies. There is a good restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and evening meal. We ate the buffet evening meal on a few occassions during our weeks stay and we found it to be good value... More

Staff is friendly and helpful but services are very basic. Very central. Back rooms look over a courtyard meaning quiet but no view. A 4* hotel should provide free internet service to guests but it doesn’t; it’s paid and very expensive. Breakfast was ok. It lacks the view over the Pico island just in front and a swimming pool. Great place to stay right on the port of Faial. Rooms were very comfortable with a balcony view over the port and as we right in the centre of the Town eating out was very easy. Breakfast was good choice with eggs and bacon most mornings and was extensively used by large tour groups although they did not interfere with... More

Horta is a special place. It has an incredible view of the Pico volcano. This fact alone sets it apart from other destinations in the Azores. It is an old town that has not been overwhelmed by mass tourism yet. The town is oriented around a busy "marinha" that over the years has been fortunate enough to become the destination... More
