This resort hotel is quite large for Horta. The facilities include a small gym, indoor and outdoor pools, spa. The restaurant offers buffet or Ala Carte. As well as the main building there are also separate villas with 8 rooms, some with a small terrace. The pool and restaurant overlook the sea with views to Pico.

Resort is great..stuff was very friendly and helpful, I had tooth pain at night and everyone on reception did their best to help me to get in contact with local doctor... Breakfast service was really good with a lot of options and big plus is facilities with whirlpool and inside and outside pool with bar..only issue was internet connection which... More

We stayed here for three nights. To start with the positives: - Good location right in the town centre. - Great view of the harbour and Pico island (providing you have a sea view room). - Nice pool areas both inside and outside. - Friendly staff although not all speak English. What we felt should undergo major improvement: - Rooms,... More

This hotel has a lovely view over Pico and is a 1 min walk to the centre of Horta. The staff is friendly, luggage service was excellent. The rooms were outdated, beds a bit hard and the room was in need of some renovation. Refrigirator available at the room. The downside was the old faucet at the shower, so you... More

We stayed a week in this hotel. Positive points: Good location Very good breakfast buffet Friendly personnel Negative points: Rooms are not 4* rooms, just average rooms in an old school look. We waited long time to have our baggage, and finally we decided to go to the reception to bring them by ourselves. The housework is made every day,... More

Nice city hotel, a few steps from the harbour and the city, but very quiet. Rooms could be cleaner and should be renovated, but for one night, it was OK... I would rate it 3 stars instead of 4. Good service, very nice and friendly staff. Complete buffet breakfast served in the main dining room overlooking the city, with nice... More

This hotel has a lot of history but it shows. Renovations that are much needed were actually underway - right above our room. Actually recorded and played for the staff to demonstrate how loud the hammering and grinding were - no offer to change rooms. Most hotels at least plan to have guests at the opposite ends of ongoing renovations... More

My husbands organization booked Faial Resort Hotel for their week long retreat. Breakfast was included and they were able to book the second floor conference room. The hotel is a bit dated - the lobby was comfortable but the rooms could use a little TLC. The breakfast buffet was good and the hotel has both an indoor & outdoor pool... More

The Hotel is old, materials are in bad shape (carpets, curtains, chairs). There were stains everywhere in the carpet of my room. We've used the big meeting room and it was moldy and smelly (seems not to be used for a long time). Mattress was not pleasant. Those were the drawbacks. However, staff was very good, nice and efficient, meals... More

Staying in the low, and I mean low season, the hotel barely had 10 guests in it. We made up 2 of those 10. First the positives! The staff is really nice and friendly. The location is great near the port of Horta. The housekeeping staff was efficient and the bed was large and comfortable in spite of it being... More
