The Hotel was very quiet and clean, staff were polite and helpful. The hotel restaurant is a little expensive compared to the surrounding area. Make sure you ask for a castle view room. Silves is a lovely, genuine Portugese hill town, about ten kilometers inland. Cobbled streets, bars, a castle and a Cathedral. The Hotel is the only one in town, across a new bridge across the river Arade. The rooms need updating and rather lack storage space.
