There were four things I liked about Via Ana: the comfy beds, the spacious rooms, and the location (walking distance from the epic beaches of Lagos as well as downtown). That said as far as an experience goes of being in a hotel, don't go here if that's what you are looking for. I'm pretty sure these are just furnished... More

this is a perfect case of you get what you pay for. We stayed here two nights upon arriving in Lagos. Originally we had only booked one night, but opted to stay a second for a few reasons. We were travelling with another couple and had booked a two room apartment for 59 euro a night. The suite was on... More

Upon arrival we were shocked at the look of this place. Very old rundown looking building. When we were shown our room we had to make our own way there whilst being stared and and whispered by the 'maids'. We took a look at the room with the promise of an ocean view, which overlooked some distant palm trees! Very... More

Accidentally booked this "hotel" based on a bookings.com review and pictures. Upon arrival, the look of the place and its dirtiness stood out. The friendly manager showed us to the room, and we left without staying. It's probably okay if you are on a shoestring budget and want a place to crash but nothing more. If you are going to... More

Deceptive advertising, this is an outdated apartment block badly in need of refurbishment. It is very difficult to get any rest or sleep as the apartment block is located on a busy main road. Dogs are left on balconies and constantly barking. Next to the apartment are several enormous rubbish bins. These are collected late at night or early in... More

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. We had originally booked to stay 5 nights but thankfully checked out after the first night. This hotel is situated within a residential building so some of the rooms are owned by tenants & some by the hotel operators. Room was very dingy and reminded us of a prison/dungeon. Features... Not bad... quite a walk from the nearest beach and town centre especially if with children or elderly. Very nice room and receptionist is very friendly and helpful even though no one is around after 18:00. Building of apartments where long term tenants live so will hear pets etc. There is a decent restaurant called Triangulo a block away which... More

We got an absoulte bargain with this place, but we also got what we paid for. Rooms are pretty standard, kitchen is really basic with old kitchen utensils but handy none the less. the TV is smaller than a computer screen and the bathrooms are old, but clean. great location to the beach, bout a 20 min walk into town... Arrive 2 hours late athe the via don ana due to flight change, upon arrival spoke with lady in bar who instantly called the manager who was attending another hotel, he arrived within 5 mins to give us the keys. The room was basic (you get what you pay for) but we had a balcony with the most magnificent view.... More

my partner and I were glad to see the back of this place after only one night - we'd originally booked in for 8, but we honestly couldn't face spending any more time there. It would have totally ruined our stay in the algarve. the location is great, but the rude staff, prison-esque decor & terrible rooms makes this hotel... More
