Arrive 2 hours late athe the via don ana due to flight change, upon arrival spoke with lady in bar who instantly called the manager who was attending another hotel, he arrived within 5 mins to give us the keys. The room was basic (you get what you pay for) but we had a balcony with the most magnificent view.... more

my partner and I were glad to see the back of this place after only one night - we'd originally booked in for 8, but we honestly couldn't face spending any more time there. It would have totally ruined our stay in the algarve. the location is great, but the rude staff, prison-esque decor & terrible rooms makes this hotel... more

Yes its a bit basic but for the price excellent value. Worth paying slightly more for sea view - 1 of the best views from a hotel I have had. Spacious room, bathroom was a bit outdated but no problems, fridge, toaster & hob with sufficient crockery/cutlery. Only complaint was pool was very cold & sunloungers couldn't be adjusted -... more

Have just got back from via don'ana after 1 weeks holiday - so glad it was not 2 weeks. First impressions when we arrived was the shabby exterior but this was nothing compared to the inside. We were supposed to check in at 14.00 and we arrived about 20 minutes beforehand so we were prepared to wait a bit even... more

We arrived very late in the evening and were told by a very unhelpful, sarcastic and rude receptionist that they had overbooked and there was no room for us. She said initially that they would be sending us to their sister hotel in Porto De Mos for one night but this quickly changed and became two. She kept saying it’s... more

We knew it was going to be cheap and cheerful, we knew it was going to be basic, we didn't know it was going to pretty perfect for the price. The staff were all great, helpful, spoke good english and all had a sense of humour. The Domestic Lady we met was sweet and kind although didn't speak much (I... more

We have been going to to the Via Don Ana since booking an "Allocation on Arrival" some seven years ago and have neverlooked back. We go twice a year and stay in a studio apartment on self catering. We always book the same room which is on the 6th floor and has a lovely view overlooking the sea and mountains.... more

Via Don' Ana is in the perfect location half way (about a mile) between both town and beaches. We stayed there before and loved it, but whoa has it gone downhill since then! On arrival we were told that the hotel hadnt received our booking, and didnt have any rooms available, but despite this they offered to let us stay... more
