Just come back from an 9day stay at this lovely small hotel. Very portugese in style with class and very clean in all areas. Do'nt know how they do it for the money great value.Breakfast was very good and being able to get your own hot drinks from the machine was great, just would have liked to have seen someone... More

We couldn't believe how lucky we were to stay at this wonderful hotel for so little money. Prices during the down season are well worth waiting to the down season to go! Everything surpassed our expectations. Breakfast has an excellent selection. Room was very clean. I had a massage therapist coming to my room (extra), and that was wonderful too.... More

we stayed here for 4 days in October, before a longer stay in Lagos itself. This is the ideal small hotel. It has a nice Portugese feel to the building and the rooms, was spotlessly clean and has a lovely pool. In addition Lena, Carlos and the others are wonderfully welcoming and friendly. And Lena's food is superb. Best Portugese... More

I really enjoyed my two nights here, and am really glad I chose this family run hotel rather than a larger 'touristy' one. The room was comfortable and very good value, with a great shower and everything I needed. The staff were very helpful, friendly and had good advice on where to visit and eat. This hotel is in an... Just come back from 6 nights at the Solar de Mos and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spotlessly clean and lovely pool area. Made to feel very welcome by Carlos, Lena and Mario. Only ate at breakfast and occasional lunch, breakfast was more than adequate for us, lovely bread, hams and cheeses though if you were after a full cooked breakfast... More

I spent only one night at Solar de Mos during a week end in Lagos and I actually hoped I could have stayed a little longer. Lagos is obviously an amazing place where you always want to stay longer so it does help, but the hotel itself it nice. The room was basic but very clean. There is also a... More

I do not understand some of the negative reviews here though fully endorse the positive ones. Location - yes, you do, ideally need a hire car to get the best from the Algarve. Otherwise, you would have to be pretty unfit to consider the 20 minute walk into town strenuous. Coming back at night will not set you back more... More

This hotel is exactly what we look for when going on holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms have everything you need for your stay. We was on the first floor and had no problems with noise. Breakfast was always good with a nice choice everyday. The owners and staff couldn't be more helpful. It's nice to know... More

My wife and I have just completed another fortnight's stay at the Solar de Mos. A small family run hotel, it is extremely good value, and both the staff and the owners are always willing to help with whatever may be requested. The hotel is always spotlessly clean, as is the area around the good sized pool at the rear... More

Room and hotel always very clean. Staff were always helpful when required, but not intrusive. Apart from some noisy dogs in the vicinity, the hotel was peaceful and a good night's sleep was not difficult. The hotel is a bit of a walk from both Lagos centre and the nearest beach, so may not be ideally situated for everyone.
