We usually stay in an apartment when staying in Lagos but decided to stay in the Marina Rio this trip and we were not disappointed. We found all the staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh bread and fruit. We were able to have our breakfast early (6.30am) on the morning of our departure, which... More

We have just returned from 10 days staying at the Hotel Marino Rio... From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left all the staff could not do enough to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable, to the point of even offering and serving us an early breakfast at 6.15am on our day of departure. Our room was on the... More

Arrived by train. Walked to the hotel with our luggage without issue. Given a third floor room with marina view. In the evening, we sat out on the balcony with some wine. Ten minute walk to the "centre" of town. Walking to the beaches was a bit of a trek. Breakfast was simple, and filling. Not enough tables to accommodate... More

Great location right on the marina excellent staff who would do anything for you. Rooms were cleaned everyday and breakfast was simple but more than adequate if you wanted something that wasn't out you just had to ask and it was made for you. Couldn't fault the place it's basic but has everything you need. I would strongly recommend you... More

The hotel is located on the main avenue in Lagos, only 5 minutes away from the pedestrian area in Lagos. Our room had a wonderful view of the bay with the boats and in the evening we could have a glass of wine on our balcony, where we had a table and two comfortable chairs. The bed was huge and... The front desk staff at this hotel are very rude. They speak to you like you don't matter. The room was disgusting. The shower had mold growing in the grout and the shower curtain was yellowed. They refill you toilet paper with half rolls so you constantly run out and it takes forever for them to bring you more. I... More

Dear family, We were expecting your comments after your rather unpleasant arrival but we did not expect that you preferred not to tell the whole story. To not mislead other travellers, we would like to point out that the real problem for you was that you tried to introduce a person without reservation into the hotel and did not succeed.... More

This hotel is located opposite the marina, so easy to walk to from the train station. It is about a 5-10min walk from the main drag in town. Staff are very friendly and the shuttle service to Praia Dona Ana is really good. The breakfast is decent, however, the wifi was average. Great mid-range hotel.

Our first time to Lagos and this hotel was a real find. Opposite the marina, we paid for a marina view room with balcony, back rooms overlook the bus station.3 star hotel, very clean, fridge in room, tea making, swimming pool on roof. Breakfast choice was poor and there are not enough tables to accommodate all guests during the busy... More

We took the bus from Seville to Lagos and the bus station is right behind this small hotel. So the rooms either have a view of the buses or of the marina, highly recommend you upgrade to a nice marina view with a lovely balcony. Hotel has a nice rooftop area with lounge chairs and a very small pool. Roofttop... More

This was our first visit to Lagos and we were only staying a few nights. We wanted to be able to explore the town so we didn't want to stay at one of the larger resorts. We loved that the Marina Rio was a short stroll from the town centre and some great restaurants. This hotel is an amazing find... More
