I stayed here in October and was really impressed. It was a level or two above, in all regards, what i was expected for the price. Spotless, extremely comfortable, beautifully renovated room, a nice relaxing shared area. The staff was very helpful and friendly. One woman a little off putting, but i think it was over caffeination... Great location, splurged... More

I chose to stay here due to the amazing reviews it received in the past (though notably not in the very recent past). We also noted that some had paid as little as 40 euro to stay here. Well, you won't if you go in high season (70 now-add 6 per person for breakfast) 50 for after september 30th and... More

Let me tell you this place was strange. Every time I approached the owner/manager (guy with grey hair) he kept staring at my crotch (I'm a man). I sensed something weird about him and the whole place, really. Then I checked some reviews and one guy said he went to the manager about breakfast one morning and found him watching... More

Stayed in July as a couple. The hotel in in a very busy area in the heart of the restaurants, water taxi to the beach etc. Firstly the hotel has numerous steps to get up to the inside, it could be difficult for elderly people to manage. It is also located above shops, which was a bit of a surprise... More

The staff were absolutely delightful at Hotel Mar Azul. They were incredibly helpful and friendly; they offered good suggestions of restaurants and activities in Lagos. They were also happy to make changes to the length of our stay with no added fee. The room was basic but clean; which is perfect as we were out most of the time anyway.... More

The Hotel Mar Azul is a good hotel, there is nothing bad or great about it. The positives of the hotel is the location and the room was tidy and clean. The drawbacks are it can be noisy at night (depending on which room you get, I recommend a balcony room), it is very basic, and you have to pay... More

Exactly as advertised! Clean, comfortable, reasonable, with a light free breakfast located in the old city center next to dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops. Run by a husband/wife team, it was very affordable while delivering the modern conveniences, but most importantly not trying to be more than it was. If you want to be at the heart of it... More

A pleasant stay with staff that's friendly and helpfull. Room was clean and proper. Modern airconditioning, only the bathroom had no air-extraction. We didn't had breakfast but it lookes good. And of course the location of this hotel is marvelous right in the city center.

The size was OK. The bathroom maybe needs to be renovated. You can bye extra breakfast. This hotel is absolutely value for money!!!! If you have car... More
