We really enjoyed our stay here, mostly because the staff was so friendly and helpful. We worked with 4 different people behind the counter (check-in, check-out, getting maps, recommendations, questions about the area, Internet in the lobby, etc.) and all were wonderful and spoke great English. Nice staff apart from hotel Manager Room very small, Had money taken from my room, reported to police they told me this had happen before at this hotel, they said i would be better to book out as there where lots of better safer hotels in Faro. Stay my last night at Hotel Faro The Manager was most un helpfull... more

I stayed at the Hotel Santa Maria for 5 nights with my husband while he was at a conference in Faro and we really liked the place. The room/bathroom was very clean, nicely decorated/maintained, decently sized (by European standards) and the included breakfast offered a great deal of options. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good... more
