I stayed at Capitao Mor for 5 nights and it was perfect. A great price and it's at the heart of the old city. A little loud at night if you have your window open, but it was generally quiet during our stay. The room was clean, but we had to share the bathroom with other guests. It wasnt a... More

... and a funny dog which lives there :) But don't rely on a breakfast over there - as the other reviewer has already mentioned, it is overrated. Due to the central location it might be a bit loud during the night if someone is hanging out beneath your window.

We stayed three nights, and were impressed with the nicely renovated room and bathroom, and with the impeccable cleanliness. However the breakfast, at five euros each, was minimal, with a smallish sandwich with little ham in it (and the bread didn't seem to be very fresh). Another problem, which is of course out of their control, was that there was... More

I recently stayed here for 5 days and I was really impressed. I had a twin room as I was sharing with a friend and we had our own en suite. The place is spotless clean and there's a lovely roof terrace overhead. It is nestled in a lovely cobbled side street a stones throw from Faros beautiful marina. The... More

I choose this guesthouse fot the cheap price but the place is very peaceful and clean and it's near the old town that you can visit. The owner is very polite. You can cook relax dry your clothes. You' ll also meet Prince the dog!

Had an unplanned stay here for two nights in June after our flight was cancelled. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing stay after all the stress of not knowing when we would get home. We received a genuinely warm and friendly welcome when we checked in. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. Quite possibly the cleanest guest... More

I went to Capitan Mor, and also stayed, the menu of the day offer a option of fresh fish, the food was good and the person running the place is very friendly and love sharing information about Faro and the whole algarve. She provided us with leaflets, booklets about Tavira and Faro and a lot of her knowledge. The Bed... More

Very close from busstop and city centre. The room is quite large and full equipment for stay. Comfy wifi access and nice terrace with dog. Almost travellers pop in and stay Faro when take fligt after/before. Faro is just a capital city, actually no sight seeing spots. So this hostel is very convinient, clean and cheap for 1 night stay!

Most friendly and warm welcome I've had and very helpfull owners getting to know Faro and the laguna itself. They speak pretty good English. The room and bathroom was proper and bed nice. There was even a shared kitchen and small roofgarden. Breakfast was good and I rented their mountainbike to explore the laguna and beach area, must do! The... More

Only stayed one night. Very friendly welcome. Great location in a quiet back street, at the heart of Faro. Rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. The heater provided was welcomed as the night time temperature in February can be quite low. Cable TV provides many English programs. Had one evening meal in the restaurant which was very good. Good value for... More
