Just came back from a week at The Lake Resort. Hotel was absolutely beautiful and spotless and all but one of the staff were very friendly. We only encountered one group of people who reserved their sun beds every day and they were actually English! A pint of lager from the Poole Bar was 8 Euros which we felt was just ridiculous - you can get a pint of lager in a top London hotel for less than £5. We did eat in the hotel restaurant one night. Unfortunately the gentleman on reception at the restaurant had an air of "superiority" and although the restaurant was empty when we arrived, he insisted on asking whether we had booked and it took 20 minutes and two asks for the wine menue to arrive. I ordered a pork fillet dish which was very over cooked. more
