Following our trip in February this year we came back for a second bite of the idyllic Porto Bay Falesia Hotel, were we disappointed not a bit. The hotel is classy without being to posh, staff are exceptional in all departments, so friendly and with such a good sense of humour. The Rooms are clean, well stocked have tea making... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week in August and we really had a fantastic time. Having organised a taxi weeks prior to arrival we requested a booking of a taxi from the airport to Porto Bay Falesia. The lady was waiting when we arrived and we were kindly greeted. On arrival to the hotel, we were greeted... More

A very nice hotel in an excellent cliff top location. We spent a week at this hotel and loved every minute of it! It's a mere 5 minute walk from the centre of the village and there are many good quality restaurants within easy walking distance. We would definitely return.

We first visited this hotel 3 years ago and found it so relaxing that we decided to return at the beginning of September. As usual for this group of hotels the service was first class and everywhere very clean and well looked after. On arrival our check in was quick and although our room wasn't ready there were no problems... More

Lovely hotel, staff excellent, from reception to maid service , bar staff etc , all helpful & welcoming.... Relaxing atmosphere and only down side is the noise from nearby hotel... excessively loud & frankly uneccessary music most of the day..(not audible everywhere thankfully, dependant on where you are in the hotel.) Would also have expected free wifi & safe as in... More

We paid for an upgrade to get a sea view, which was nice but you get no sun in the evening on your balcony. Its actually not worth the upgrade. You pay extra for everything, safe key extra, wifi extra. In most luxury hotels which this purports to be you get complimentary water in your room not here you have... More

Thank you very much for your review. Sea view rooms deserves the extra amount paid, however because rooms are facing the sea (south) don't have evening sun, rather stay at a land view with evening sun without any extra cost. Should be mentioned that wifi is free at all social areas of the hotel, includes bars, restaurants, pool areas and... More

We usually stay at the Rui Palace but were shocked to hear this beautiful hotel is closing next month and we couldn't get in. After reading the reviews for Porto Bay just up the road we expected the hotel to be just as good if not better than the Palace. The bedrooms are not soundprooffed so every night we were... More

Thank you very much for your review. Doesn't seem the same hotel as previous reviews, in fact can't compare with neighbour hotel, Porto Bay Falésia is more relaxed for a Summer holiday, good food, friendly staff and great views as you pointed. Restaurant has a smart casual dressing code not tie and jacket, especially with 30 º C evenings and... More

We stayed at this hotle 5 days. The room and breakfast was good. To reach the beach you have to descend on steps, but it is worth. The beach is large and beautiful. There are sunbeds and umbrellas to rent and there are good restaurants and bars. The Italian restaurant of the hotel is very nicely placed and has good food.... More

Booked the Porto Bay a year ago based on the spectacular views. A hugely important part of our holiday for us is to have a balcony with great views where we can sit quietly, glass of wine and chill. After being up at 4:00 am we arrived at the hotel at 11:30 and were disappointed with check in - no... More
