This hotel was very central in the old fishing village. 2 mins out the door to the left takes you along to the square, passing shops and restaurants along the way. When traveling with friends sometimes you have to make concessions... well this place was certainly mine! It's proudly a 2 star motel through and through... I will say the location was great... 2 mins from the beach and main square... and the rooms are kept clean... but it's still pretty dumpy. more

The hotel is a two minute walk to the beach. This may be no big deal but most people are situated at the top of the hill which is fine coming down but a nightmare after a long day on the beach. The old town square with all of the bars and restaurants is 2 minutes in the other direction... more

we stayed at baltum hotel september 2007,enjoyed every minute of it,near beach,restaurants and entertainment.we booked with travel republic which was really cheap,everything was excellent,including flight times.hotel was perfect,breakfast was rolls,ham and cheese which was ample to start you day,would definitely return again and book through travel republic.two couples inverness-shire. more

The hotel was very hard to find because of a lot of the construction in the area. Many of the streets were closed, so we found a parking lot at the top of the hill (which was free) and walked to the hotel from there. We stayed in this hotel last weekend from thursday to monday and I can tell u that is a good place to stay where u will find a cleaned room and nice staff. With a short walk u will be in the Praia dos Barcos and in the middle of the old town with its bares, restaurants, shops and clubs.... more

this hotel was better than some 3 star hotels , clean,well run,and the staff were great. breakfast was a bit bland but it was fresh & you could have as much as you wanted .hell ,its suposed to be 2 star any moaners should get a life .will definately go back more

The location is superb, just a minutes walk to the beach, and the same to the town square with all it's bars and restaurants. My room was small, but spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the balcony overlooked the main street. I didn't find the staff particulrly friendly - not unfriendly either, just not very interested!
