The hotel we stayed in was clean and big. The staff was really friendly and they speak english really well. It's close to the old centre of Albufeira wich is the place to for going out. You have to visit Cabana Fresca if you want to go out for dinner, absolutely amazing more

We stayed in these from 29th May till 7th June. There was myself, my son (7), my sister & my parents. There are four blocks to these, we seemed to have gotten the oldest block even though we had requested the newest Colina block. I think people need to be clear when reading the reviews as it can be confusing.... more

Did not know what to expect, but on arrival the bus climbed a hill and i thought this will be fun walking up and down to this hotel, but generally as 2 people in our mid 20's the climbing of the 106 steps from the old town and then up a 200 metre hill it was taxing to begin with... more

I have just returned from a great weeks stay at Cerro Mar and had a great time. We arrived about 11.30am and were advised that our room was not ready, this is standard practice and across Portugal you can normally expect to check in after 2pm. The Receptionist gave us a key for a luggage holding room and advised that... more

I feel like I am writing about a different place as my partner and I didn't like it at the Cerro Mar at all! We were in the old apartments (we did request the new block) and they are clean enough and big but we had to go downstairs to our floor which meant it was quite dingy and the... more

Positives: The apartment we stayed in was excellent, a fully fitted kitchen complete with washing machine and dishwasher. Very clean with a huge balcony. Pool area was nice and swim up bar was err useful!! Negatives: No entertainment at night or kids clubs, food at pool bar wasn't great but was edible. The biggest negative was the steep hill and... more

We stayed in the 3 star accommodation this year, having stayed in the 4 star one last year. Not sure how we managed to change as booked through same agent - booking.com. Accommodation was of same standard, very nice 2 bed apartment with large balcony, main bedroom en-suite and 2nd bathroom had shower cubicle. Maid service daily. Accommodation blocks are... more

This is an all apartment hotel housed in 6 buildings, in a quiet area overlooking the old town. They have all the amenities, indoor swimming pool (for the indoor you must wear a bathing cap which they will sell you for 2 1/2 euros) and several outdoor pools, a bowling alley, sauna, Turkish bath, outdoor children's pool, tennis court, bar,... more
