We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel with our 9 month old daughter and had a great time. We had a sea view room which was definitely worth the extra cost, as we had a balcony with a couple of chairs overlooking the lovely beach. We loved waking up and opening the curtains to the view. Our... more

Well we have just returned from 2 weeks at the Rocomar Beach Hotel, and it appears that i must have stayed at a different hotel to some of these reviews. We were on the 1st floor with a terrace room. The Room was spotless and the beds very comfortable, i have slept in far worse. The bathroom was quite large... more

We have just come back from a weeks holiday in the Rocamr which is a 3 star hotel. It was a good 3 star, basic but clean and comfortable. Beds were good and sea view from balcony excellent. We stayed in room 430 on 4th floor. Mostly older people with a mixture of British, German and Dutch. We had a... more

Staying at this hotel was a daily challenge. The food was as bland as saw dust when it was good!! and gag worthy the rest of the time. I had to mask every thing with onions and expensive pepper to swallow it. Found the staff stand offish and keen to get you out of the place. When i decided to... more

Location is brilliant..only two mins walk from old town. However staff are grumpy, the breakfasts are really terrible. Totally unedible. Frankfurters one day or grease laden bacon the next. Orange juice was like sugary water and only fruit was tinned pineapple. Hotel cafe wasnt much better! Albufeira however is lovely, loads of great places to eat and shops to browse.... more

Great 4th floor room overlooking the harbour. nice little balcony with a great view. althoguh the hotel fits the 3 star rating - we thought it was very very nice. quiet, comfortable, cozy with a touch (maybe a hint) of class. perfect location for a quick walk into old town. 2 secs from the beach. an elevator ride down to... more

I stayed at the Rocamar from 16th -20th October. I went with a couple of girlfriends. The weather was lovely - not warm enough to get in the sea though. lovely views from the cliff top. get a sea view room for sure. The old town is within walking distance so the location of the hotel is perfect. I found... more

After reading some of the reviews on this hotel me and my partner were a little concerned about what we would find when we arrived! However, the hotel was modern and clean and the views were stunning! Most definately book a room with a sea view! The staff were very helpful and most lovely cocktails! The only downside to this... more

I am somewhat surprised at some of the reviews for this hotel. We have just returned from a very pleasant stay. Our room was beautiful. It has obviously been completely updated and decorated quite recently in blues and beige. Beautiful bathroom and a view of the sea. Because our room was quiet low down and we did have to look... more
