I stayed in the Boa Vista from 10th-17th July and was very impressed over all. The room was a good size, very clean and most importantly had a fantastic sea view. The hotel itself was nice and clean, but nothing special, what was special was the amazing views, really really beautiful. The hotel has a calm and quiet feel, perfect for a relaxing holiday- not for a partying holiday really.
The location was grand too, on outskirts of old town but on a steep incline, which would cause difficulties to those with walking difficulties, but a taxi to the centre only costs a few euro.
The reception staff were ok, but waiting staff in restaurant excellent.
We were half board so had breakfast and dinner in the hotel everyday. The food was nice with a good selection, to suit most tastes. They also have a bar-b-q every few nights which is a nice addition.
overall, i would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
