We stayed here in June 2104 for three nights and were thrilled. The accommodation was great and it was such a bonus to have a kitchenette and sitting area. The owner was very helpful in changing our bed type and cooked us a delightful meal on our first night when we arrived tired after a long drive. Fresh ingredients were... More

I spent here one night with my fiacée three or four years ago. The dinner was a very poor one. I was very disappointed with the food. Other things were ok but the food was not traditional or anything like it. Any small restaurant would have provided a better service.

We were in terrible weather, but we were made welcome and the host was excellent, this was further proved in the evening (after we had requested dinner via the phone in the morning) the food was good and then he lit a log fire for us, just what you needed in the terrible weather.

I was booking it through booking.com. I was there first days of June 2013. I never saw the owner and by tel he told me you can check out by Visa card. After a day and night ofthunderbird and strong rains I decided to leave this place the morning after. I asked to pay by Visa credit card there was... More

Beautifull quinta outside and inside. Dining/livingroom is really cosy with the two fireplaces. In the room we had, there was an annoying noise during night. No idea what it was but sounded like a generator. Friendly housekeepster. 20 euro pp for dinner is, in Portugal, a bit expensive.

We stayed in a spacious suite during our visit in early September. Beds and bathroom were perfectly adequate and when the temperature reached 38C a dip in the swimming pool was very refreshing. It was a shame breakfast was so unimaginative as dinner the previous evening was delicious having focused on home grown produce and the wine was plentiful.

We spent two nights here, while visiting Marvao, and Castelo de Vide. It was a lovely retreat. Nuno was a fine host, preparing a roaring fire for us in a charming living room filled with beautiful antiques. The food was adequate the wine was fine and the setting was just great, unless of course you were thinking of downtown. The... More

We stayed in this place for only 1 night. The surroundings are nice, after driving ~1km in a dificult dirt road, you get to a property "away from it all", with a pool (to be used in the summer) and some hiking tracks around. The main building has a small but nice area for guests to sit around, but as... More
