3 nights here in August 14 (should have been 4 but TAP Pilots strike vetoed that). Very pleasant - nice large rooms, quiet and large garden / pool area and public spaces. Seems that the bar service is included; we were not asked for room numbers or any other details when ordering poolside drinks. Evora is a lovely town, and... More

We stayed here for one night in August. Its a rather tired 90's style hotel that needs investment. The staff are friendly and the food was good and it's in a useful location. the real criticism is that the can have up too 200 guests and yet they only have 30 sunbeds. The area around the pool is rather dire.... More

We had a pleasent stay for three days at this hotel July 2014. All over we are very satisfied. The pool area gave us perfect relaxation in the heat. Distance to town center was perfectly short. We ordered a superior room with balcony and view to the city wall, but there was none such rooms when we arrived late saturday... More

The exterior of this hotel reminds me of something from the 1960's perhaps. Boxy and plain, but neat and tidy. At first glance, I was not happy with my husband's choice for our stay in Evora. Once we walked into the lobby, my opinion changed immediately. What a lovely place! Spacious lobby, quiet and serene atmosphere. I was even more... More

Evora, itself, is so worth the visit. It is a college town and the public square is well used by te locals. The hotel was old but so well located, too. The narrow street (rua dos mercadores) just outside the park leads straight up to the main square (praca de Giraldo) and all the activity. The two-floor hotel is old,... More

Evidently, this hotel is a former royal residence and it is certainly set out on a grand scale. Lots of rooms with super long corridors. The decor of the rooms is quite rustic with 'distressed' paintwork, paved brick floors etc. my room had a balcony and looked out onto a park area with the old city wall behind, lovely. Breakfast... We stayed for 2 relaxing nights. The room was very clean, spacious and with nice design. Breakfast with plenty of options (fresh fruit, croissants, yogurt, boiled eggs, omelettes, charcuterie, ricotta etc.). For dinner, it was very crowded. Therefore, we didn't get a table w/o reservation and had to eat in the bar. The food was tasty, but quite expensive and... More

the hotel is good, the reception is nice and done. the rooms are good, you have the view on the garden/pool and the old city wall that protects you from the street noise. the toilette articles are nice. just the breakfast is bad and the staff needs to be better trained. waiters at the pool that leave empty cocktail glasses... Nice people beautiful setting, patios but no furniture, also the a.c. Was not working right , great breakfast! I thought the price was high for the hotel. We went on a tour of ancient rock formation which was outstanding

This was hotel #5 on our Globus tour of Portugal. It is radically different from any other hotel I have experienced. It has a rustic look and feel, with tastefully decorated rooms. The dining room and bar were pleasant and the buffet breakfast was fairly good. It is a bit of a walk from the central part of Evora, since... More
