The place is super nice and charming Really top if you look for a place with a lot of charm and history Room are not well noise insulated. View from our room was really poor. Comfort and services are limited. Breakfast room can not cope with the number of guests. It is really expensive but charm has a price

We enjoyed the authentic monastery character and old furniture (e.g. beautiful chairs and tables in dining room). The receptionist personally took us to our room, which had a high domed ceiling, marble bathroom and balcony. Cozy public rooms and a cool, outdoor balcony were some other nice facilities. Good, basic breakfast.

hotel is centrally located. It is not only convenient for exploring the town but also easy to get to by car. Parking is available in front and behind the hotel for the extra cost. The hotel has a great ambiance, antique furniture and a nice terrace. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The stuff was very helpful with checking... More

The breakfast was the highlight rather than the room. The breakfast has an excellent buffet selection, good coffee, freshly baked cake and freshly squeezed orange juice. The bedroom was long and narrow with steps to the room and then on to the ensuite. Old tv and no cable but, more importantly, a very comfortable bed with good linen. If you... More

The hotel is a renovated old historic house Very clean hotel with very basic amenities. The safe in our room was not working so we used the common hotel safe in the kitchen area… Buffet Breakfast is average… walking distance to museums and parks

Stayed a couple of nights in June after a few days business in Lisbon.... Idiosyncratic for sure....Room was the longest / narrowest I've stayed in the past 40 years - needed binoculars to see the tiny 80's TV when in bed....Lots of steps ( with cases ) from car parking place to check-in, and then yet more to the room....No... Only 66 Eu with breakfast for 2; fresh-squeezed OJ was the highlight. 5 min walk to town center -- don't worry, you will eventually learn the short-cuts. Delightful old house. Shows 2 stars outside, I would argue for the 3rd star. Bed fairly comfortable, rooms small.

The lovely hotel is full of old world charm, while the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the WiFi worked in the rooms. It was easy to drive to and parking was easy to find. The location was convenient to all the sights. I really admired the lovely antique leather chairs in the breakfast room.

What a lovely old hotel! Friendly staff, great view and with beautiful old furniture, a perfect hotel to stay and so close to all the sites. We had two rooms and both were clean and with great bathrooms, plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very nice too with plenty of choice.
