This hotel is beautiful, with good housekeeping and good rates. The bells from a nearby church are bad if you are a light sleeper, staff noisy in the halls, the entry bell is annoying, and one staff member was rude to us in a number of ways. The breakfast was just passable. In all fairness there was another staff member... more

We stayed three nights and found it to be quiet (except for the chimes), comfortable, affordable and well located. The rooms are fairly roomy, with t.v., mini-bar, safe and hairdryer as the amenities. One negative is that there are few outlets in the rooms, and I had to unplug the t.v. and mini-bar in order to charge my camera battery.... more

Cool place to stay in Evora this hotel. We spent only one night but we could appreciate this charming place at a very good price. Nice , roomy ( probably more than 50 mq ) and particular was the room ( but not all the rooms are so big) , a wooden fan over the ceiling , big windows ,... more

Book a room in the front overlooking the little square (104). Wish we had stayed more than one night. Charming little hotel with an excellent location (can walk anywhere in old town from here), good breakfast, very reasonable prices, free parking. more

The hotel entrance and hallways are attractive. The location is good - but Evora is small, so most hotels can say this. The room was a little sparse but adequate. We had trouble with the heating. Breakfast was nice. Price was right. Staff was adequate but didn't seem eager to deal with visitors beyond matter at hand. I also had... more

Charming hotel with the quirks of being an old home; not for the mobility disabled as others have pointed out. Parking available. Basic breakfast. Excellent location. more

We stayed in Evora for two nights at this hotel in room 204. The hotel is beautiful, but the rooms are a bit spartan if luxury is what you're craving. Tiny bathroom and shower. The floors were all tile, and were a little chilly on the rainy days. Fortunately they turned on the heat at night which helped the chill.... more

This is an excellent place to stay in the delightful UNESCO town of Evora. It is very central. The room (103) was quiet with French windows opening on an internal courtyard, long double bedroom and separate bathroom with shower over bath. Very roomy. The breakfast was continental but more than adequate. The hotel was very popular with Portugese including families... more

I booked my reservation with the Solar Monfalim directly through the web. They responded quickly with detailed E-mails with directions on where to park my rental car. I drove from Lisbon to Evora and by following the clearly marked hotel signs I was amazed that the route took me directly to the hotel. I anticipated getting lost in a maze... more

This is a delightfully renovated old building with lovely rooms and very conveniently located to the centre of town. In fact Evora is a fabulous town that has everything within walking distance and plenty to see. We had a lovely quiet room which was all in good working order. more
