Far from the city, this is an excellent choice to rest in peace and quiet. The rooms/suites are very comfortable and very well decorated, with excellent taste. The surrounding is quiet and beautiful, a typical Alentejo landscape. The restaurant serves excellent food! 2 swimming pools (one small, another one larger) for good and quiet swimming. You only hear birds! At... More

We recently stayed at Imani Country House for a weekend to attend a wedding in the region. Really loved the experience from A-Z. Great setting in the countryside in a gorgeous property. Extremely friendly welcome by the staff - very friendly service continued throughout our short stay. We like the decoration of the rooms and the common areas very much... More

We had a great relaxing few days at the Imani. It is very peaceful and the pace of life is slow (breakfast doesn't start until 9.30!), but that soon helped us relax. The hotel is located in orange groves, overlooking some beautiful scenery. This does however mean that the hotel is quite isolated and is difficult to find. Evora is... More

From a very friendly reception to your suite is a dream come true: deicated service, a special decoration is your suite and a lot of extra's. Compairimg the whole concept with another experience brings me to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro: no sound, in the middle of nowhere which supplies you of the best there is: silence! Jan and Caro,... I've travelled quite a bit and can honestly say that I've never felt more comfortable and relaxed anywhere than at Imani. Myself, my husband and 11 year old boy stayed in 'The Suite'. It was so beautiful and cozy. Unfortunately our 2 day stay in February was marred by the (not unexpected) rain and the fact that our son wasn't... More

Really an ideal getaway. The look and feel of a rustic farmhouse, but of course not so rustic anymore. The decoration is very analogue....old radios, old farm equipment, old phones etc. could be cheesy in the wrong hands, but really well done here. The staff was super polite, accommodating and went out of their way to help, especially Sarah.

Awesome staff! When we arrived, they received us with umbrellas helping carying the bags, guided us throughout the property and always helpful. One of the days I got a call from the receptionist asking if I needed a restaurant book in the city or an earlier breakfast for the next day (and we did!). Also, the owner received us like... More

Am so glad that we chose Imani - wonderfully restored horse stables but so eclectic in design that they could be anywhere. We got a wonderful welcome from Sara and were delighted to be upgraded to a suite. Loved loved the design of the hotel. Only 7 rooms and so well thought out. The chef is awesome and does a... More

An excellent a property if you are looking to experience the calm countryside. We were welcomed by Sara the friendly hostess. This amazing property has 5-6 rooms/suites overlooking the orchards of orange. It is very well kept and serves delightful snacks if u r not upto a 10 mn drive for lunch/dinner to the enchanting Evora town. The rooms have... More

Imani is a gem, a hidden away but perfect place to get away spot. Beautiful scenery, beautiful renovations and furniture, and just the best vibe. Truly an escape. Since our visit, my now husband and me have been desperate to return. The owners are fabulous, the fresh squeezed orange juice a close second. Go, go, go. We couldn't recommend Imani... More
