This Pousada is a restored monastery and the rooms are called cells which is an accurate name for them. This is one of the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in. We loved this place. Evora is special and this hotel fits right in. It's a masterful job of renovation. Yes the rooms (cells) are small but the ceilings are high and the bathrooms nice so somehow it didn't feel claustrophobic. Evora Pousada was a disappointment in April 2006 - poor service, grossly expensive bar which then overcharged, and little breakfast choice, plus an unmade room on arrival, marred a nice setting. more
