We were made to feel very much at home from the moment we arrived in this relatively small, well-kept campsite. Our charming and most hospitable Dutch hosts Solange and Joris know this part of Portugal very well were dedicated to ensuring that we got the most out of our visit to the nearby town of Campo Maior and the surrounding... Originally booked in for two nights but extended for one extra night and wished that we could have stayed longer. The site owners Joris and Solange are very pleasant and we enjoyed their company sitting under the stars drinking wine. The site itself is not to large and has level pitches. Facilities are not luxurious but clean and entirely acceptable.... More

over the past 5 years both my wife and I, children and now grandchildren have spent many nights at Camping Os Anjos , Campo Maior, Portugal, we have found the site to be prefect for both long term and just one or 2 nights as they are close to the town as well as the large towns and cities both... A fantastic view, but not 800mtrs from the town, as advertised, more like 2+ kms along unlit country lane. Upon arrival, the first business after check in was a lengthy explanation of the rules and a warning of the dangers in town, I.e. the gypsies. Which scared us to want to stay longer. For nearly 20 euros a night, with... More

Lovely site with great views. Spotlessly clean toilet/shower block. Campo Maior is attractive with plenty to visit and good supermarket. Really good walks and cycling from site with maps and suggestions from very welcoming Dutch owners. Nearby town of Elvas a must visit and bicycle ride to Ouguela. Stayed ten days last year and again this year. Highly recommended site... More

We visited Os Anjos in September 2012 and found it to be really nice. Having been on some larger sites this came as a pleasant change. Really nice owners, really clean and tidy, easy walk to Campo Maior. Going back in 2013 of course!

Reasonably priced, clean facilities, campsite good but not enough shade, this is probably due to the fact that the campsite is new (ish) and the trees have not grown! Would be nice in a couple of years when more trees have grown, feels a bit bare at the moment. Campsite is set amongst the fields of Alentejo, surrounded by olive... More
