This is a beautiful building and a lovely spot for a tranquil couple of days. Just walking around the hotel is interesting. Yes, the heating was permentantly on in the bedroom, but we just opened the window (quite a novelty having to have a window open on 29th December). Very tastefully designed, and the bar is a wonderful spot for... More

Needs urgent change in the kitchen and bathrooms.Food is way below par. Few choices on the Menu and food is fussy. Simplicity would be better. Breakfast is good and has a big choice. Asked for a double or king bed; got 2 singles.Heating was on permanently; no way to turn it down or off. Very bad image on TV. NO... More

I stayed here with a friend at the end of a ten day tour of parts of medieval Portugal. Although tricky to find this posada exceeded expectations. You enter from the car park into an enormous space that takes you into a place that offered peace and tranquility. Our room was a twin bedded room, and as all such rooms... More

This Pousada, in the heart of Beja, is a converted Monestary. It has been beautifully renovated and offers guests all the modern day conveniences in a centuries old setting. The staff are friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Anna at Reception who was so helpful. The Dining Room offers an excellent evening menu in a charming atmosphere and the... More

We booked a 2 night stay at this Pousada which included 2 visits to local vineyards. We were driving up from the Algarve, so visited the first vineyard on the way up. It was an interesting place with a boutique hotel attached and a good restaurant where we had lunch which was included in the price of the offer. We... More

Portuguese pousadas are equivalent to the Spanish paradores. This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful city. If spending a night in a historic monastery is something you have considered, this is a great place for it. And it comes with modern conveniences. The rooms are of fair size and the charm of the monastery still exists. On the negative,... More

Beautiful hotel, wonderful service. We chose for a suite; only €12 extra and well worth it - huge bedroom, separate living room and a wonderful surprise (little things make a huge difference) of a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit upon our return from sight seeing. The building is beautiful: cool, calm and tranquil. Breakfast - buffet style - plentiful.... More

Beja has a small castle and many nearby wine producers. If you are passing through this area, this pousada offers a two day wine experience which we found very attractive. The pousada is fine with very attentive staff. It is centrally located in town. There is free wifi in the common area, but in the room, there is a fee.... More

Comfortable pousada housed in a beautiful atmospheric converted convent near the city centre. Nice garden with large pool, free parking and excellent breakfast buffet. Some points for improvement: very noisy airco in our room (226), and weak WiFi signal. Other than that an excellent choice!

We stayed just for 1 day and we were wonderfully surprised... It stays in the historic city centre, walking distance to the castle. The historic building is just amazing with the convent areas very well kept. Being Beja such a warm city in the Summer, the nice swimming pool is something to value and is prepared with a small one... More
