The staff were so friendly and helpful - and it was no issue that I only spoke English. Suite was big and the bed super-comfortable, a great bathroom and superb view (I was on the 4th floor). The cultural activities at the restaurant on Thurs and Friday evenings were enjoyable. Le Spa treatments such a treat. Room service was super... More

We stayed at the Pearl for two nights before heading to the islands. The staff, especially the girl in the gift shop (she's a Tahiti expert and spent heaps of time telling us where to go) were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, and clean and the pool was lovely. The downfall was the cost of the food... More

The hotel was ok and staff helpful . Rooms quite nice but lighting terrible. Would choose a room well away from the restaurant etc as can be quite noisy on entertainment nights. Beach black sand and short with steep beach. Lovely pool Poolside meals expensive and average. Don't try the iced Chocolate- was shocking, tasted like powdered chocolate mixed with... More

Located a short trip out of the main center. The beach is a tranquil volcanic sand calm scenic spot. The room was very comfortable with a great view. The food was very good and the nightly entertainment very traditional. The pool area was well equipped. Overall a good value stay.

Beautiful beach , but several miles away from anything that my wife and I as tourists look for. At a few hundred dollars a night on a short stay this worked for us. But as a single destination we would have felt short changed. Pricey and exotic, with helpful staff. But in America not sure this hotel "as is" would... More

We spent one night here before a cruise, and it was a great start to other islands. The hotel is 20 minute+ cab ride from the airport past the downtown area of Papeete, located in a primarily residential area. Registration was warm and welcoming. We were escorted to our rooms which was a good thing. There are 4 buildings which... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and considered booking somewhere else even though we had prepaid 4 nights. Worst service ever received in the restaurant/bar, half the time the staff didn't even acknowledge we were standing in front of them. At breakfast one morning we ordered off the menu, when our meals came out cold and not fresh it was... More

Lovely hotel. Had the family suites which were nice (get one on one of the higher floors for the views of Matavai bay). Main bed was comfortable. Kids loved the pool. Nice walk along the black sand beach. Grounds well kept. There is also some historical interest here (Captain cook anchored out in the bay etc). Amenities were nice and... More

I loved the front desk staff. Slim, Pierre, Margot - those three I can distinctly remember. Very, very kind people. Always super friendly and willing to help. They seemed to want to help; it was all very genuine which I appreciated. Coumba in the boutique was also fantastic - she was super helpful so I could get some tours organized.... More
