We were staying at nearby "Gwalia falls"up the hill and thought we'd treat ourselves(2 adults 4 kids) to an evening meal. We booked the night before and was liking forward to it all day. We arrived nice and early and was shown to our table at the back (no nice views then). The waitress was very prompt with drinks order... More

The Ship Inn is in an amazing location very close to the beach and sea. Only a small car park but as we went in March we had no problem finding a space. Lovely big bedroom at the front with everything we needed. Lots of places to sit and enjoy a drink, either in the main part of the inn... More

Dogs being allowed in a restaurant is a bad choice, we sat down to dog hair infested chairs and there was even a clump of dog hair on the table as we were eating, the barstaff gave dog treats from behind the bar which is frankly disgusting and unhygienic. This pub used to be one of the best now it... More

This is a review of the restaurant only. We were staying elsewhere. On the final night of our visit to Ceredigion I was persuaded to give The Ship another try, for our meal out. Big mistake. As you walk in, the ambiance is excellent. Such a great location but this is the 3rd time we've been sadly disappointed by the... More

We had the pleasure of a two night stay here in March. We could actually hear the sea from our room as well as see it - Amazing location. The staff Claire and Andrew were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable with stunning views. The rooms were clean but basic, no mirror in the bedroom to dry hair... More

just come back from a two night break that we thoroughly enjoyed .We stayed in a comfortable room ....en suite basic but plenty of hot water. Approached via a steep winding lane and I can imagine parking in high season could be a problem but worth if for a lovely spot. Very good food from the chefs we enjoyed all... More

We had a superb lunch at the Ship for my mother in law's birthday. Delicious food, wine and beer and excellent service. Lovely atmosphere and spotlessly clean and smart. Fantastic view of the sea on a brilliantly sunny day in March. We can't wait to return.

Newly refurbished 'The Ship Inn' looks fantastic, tastefully done the decor and furnishings compliment it's stunning view out over the bay. We were greeted by Claire the manager who was lovely and friendly, Brian our Spoodle got a welcome treat and we also got to meet Ralph their adorable Pug pup! We'd only ever had a drink here before but... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in March as a test to see how I would cope with dialysis while away. I emailed first to make sure it would be ok to take all my equipment in, and Claire said everything would be fine. We were shown to our lovely room, Room 1 which has a small balcony for standing...
