Just stayed here again for two nights in the Oakham junior suite, superb stay !! Really relaxing, room excellent and quiet, food superb, we ate at the terrace bar both nights. Breakfast excellent, staff all friendly and polite, how this is only 3 stars is beyond us , stayed recently at a higher star rating for double the price and... More

We stayed for two nights and planned to explore some of grantham but with the location being as stunning as it is, we never left the grounds. Stoke Rochford Hall is incredible with its huge fire places and massive windows overlooking the very well kept outside area. It's so quiet and peaceful and above all else, Richie and all the... Thank you for your positive comments. I'm delighted to read that you enjoyed your recent stay with us so much that you hardly left the hotel over the couple of days. The sheep are indeed a bit dozy, but from the sounds of it, you didn't encounter our grumpy ducks & geese... they like to remind us every so often... More

We paid for a 2 night special deal through an online deal. The lland and gardens were beautiful. The exterior of the hall was also very eye catching, especially the drive towards it. We were given a standard room in the Courtyard Stables. It was fairly spacious but smelt of an old charity shop. The furniture was cheap MDF off... More

From ringing up to book the room (stayed one night Sunday 17th May) until checking out at the end r our stay, nothing was too much trouble for the staff we spoke to. The drive down to the building is breath taking and the grounds were just what was needed as we had a labrador with us. He was given... More

Having stayed for a long weekend on the 15th-18th May. We were more than impressed as we drove down the drive way to see the building rising before us. On arriving at reception we booked in and were given our room key for the Stable Courtyard rooms. We arranged the possibility of an early breakfast delivery to our room as... More

We stayed here for one night in a mansion room. The room was huge, clean and the bed was really comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious, although the menu wasn't very varied. I think there are a few little things that let the place down...the swimming pool is housed in a poly tunnel and could be improved a... More

My partner and I and my parents stayed here for only one night (sadly) due to a nearby Triathlon my partner was taking part in. When we arrived we were bowled over by the magnificent building and beautiful grounds. The reception staff were very helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. We sat in the lobby having tea... Stayed here on the last weekend in April for two nights. Magnificent building and grounds. Sadly, the interior did not live up to the exterior. It was quite nice but that's about all! A wonderful entrance with beautiful fireplace was let down by corridors with shabby carpets and peeling wallpaper. Did not try the restaurant as the menu was less... More

Thank you for your feedback and I'm pleased to read that overall, you enjoyed your stay with us. It's a real shame that you didn't eat with us in the SRH restaurant as you would have enjoyed local produce, freshly prepared to rosette standard. I appreciate your viewpoint that the menu perhaps didn't appear adventurous. I have to say that,... More
