Gaido's Seaside Inn and Restaurants have been a Galveston mainstay for years. The rates used to be some of the least expensive on the island, but since their recent upgrades, be prepared to pay just as much as most of the other chain hotels. Granted the addition of the pool with kiddie area, hot tub and poolside kitchen with bar... More

Hotel is straight from the 50's. No fridge-no hairdryer- no shampoo. not many outlets for phones and computers but wifi worked well. Pool is big but not quiet and loaded with children. the parking is okay in the back but not out front. You must keep up with a metal key and like all of galveston the door is stuck... More

We have stayed at Gaido's a few times over the last few years and it is one of our favorite places. We love going out on the deck in the evening and watch the waves hit the beach. This year was the best time ever though. 4th of July there was awesome! Also we was able to stay in one... More

Everything was good for a last minute stay, the rooms were outdated but that was not a problem for us, everything was very clean, the, i think it was the manager, because they only had a room with one bed and we needed with two, the guy took a little rollingbed or i dont know how you call it, that... My first experience was 2 years ago after my wife suggested a short trip to the beach with our then 5 year old. Everything was quite surprisngly decent for as old as the hotel is. We stayed there again this year for our 4th of July trip and still quite surprised with how decent it is. Rooms are what you... More

While the beach front view was great, the price is a bit steep for what you get. The rooms are outdated, carpet on the walls, beds old and lumpy, pillows lumpy too, carpets dirty and bathrooms from the 1980s. Lobby is quite a walk for most rooms. When we got to our room, I opened the window and it was... More

Almost left after walking into the lobby - cluttered and dirty. Glad I didn't though! All employees were nice. Rooms need updating, but they're clean. Too much light seeped from behind curtain, but the beds were comfy. Pool area was nice. The location is perfect! Everything is easily accessible without a car. As a woman traveling alone with kids, I... More

My family and I have been staying at Gaido's Seaside Inn for right at 13 years. We have use them for our annual vacation and our cruise stay. While the pool renovation is beautiful - it certainly has changed the feel. This hotel, while outdated, used to be family friendly. Now - not so much. The rooms are still the... More

We stayed on a Monday night right in front of the Pool. First let me say the pool was awesome. The kids loved it and the hot tub too. There was not many people there in the early evening but as the night went on more arrived. My 14 yr old was hit in the eye with a football while... More
