Stayed here from 7th May 2015 to 11th May 2015 with my husband and parents. We were visiting our great great uncle who is buried in Ypres Town Cemetary. We stayed in the extension part of the hotel which was lovely and modern. The beds were very comfortable and a single quilt each on the bed was lovely and stopped... More

Friday April 24th to Sunday April 24th 2015. A family expedition to Ypres, to introduce the boys to my great-uncle Archie, who fell at Ypres on 28th April 1915 and is buried In a CWGC cemetery south-east of Ypres. The hotel was rebuilt after the war and is just across the road from the Hooghe Crater cemetery. Within the grounds... More

Stayed in the original rooms which were quite spacious. Good bathrooms but be a bit careful in the bathtub/shower as it can be slippery. Good wifi and breakfast. Hotel has trenches and craters from the WW1 front-line in the grounds and is a good place to explore other sites from. You would probably need a car to get around, is... More

Staff were helpful, rooms and breakfast ok. The old building has character rooms with charm, the new building is sterile and modern suggest you confirm were your staying as pictures on site are misleading. Overall it was clean and tidy within a few miles of Ypres centre.

The rooms where a little cold in January but moved over to the new block and very nice indeed. A place to visit in the Spring or Summer as lots of places to see. WW1 Bomb crater and trenches right next to the hotel which was very interesting, plus the museum next door. Staff and owners where very good, excellent... More

Stayed two nights, comfortable and warm (mid december) no real concerns, if I was being picky it would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room. (brits take your own Tetley tea bags because its only that weak lipton stuff in the restaurant). Would certainly stay here again staff were helpful and pleasant at all times.

Stayed here for three nights, breakfast lovely. A bit out of the way for the town. Stayed in the annexe and must say very nice and modern. The grounds of the hotel very interesting. Another ideal hotel to do your WW1 battle tours

The main building set back from the road looked attractive if a little rustic and we believed we had booked a room in that main building . The booking website we used only showed pictures of rooms in that part so we were surprised to be told our room was in a new block situated across the car park, closer... More

The hotel is full of character and in beautiful grounds with it's own WWI tunnels and crater. Our room was spacious and immaculate with everything we needed. The dining room and bar were lovely and the breakfast was very fresh. I can't understand why this is only a 3 star hotel, it should be 4 star at least - it's... More

A group of 8 of us had a three night stay here last week. We usually stay in Ypres but as you can imagine nothing was available. We actually booked this holiday 2 years ago to guarantee being able to attend the remembrance service in Ypres. On arrival there was some confusion as to room allocations but it was soon... More
