Large well maintained hotel about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Ypres. We had a large room in the main building which was spacious and comfortable. Well worth being just outside of Ypres to get better value for money hotel.

I stayed at this hotel recently as a group of 6 bikers on tour. A large basement garage was available to securely park the bikes although the loose gravel car park was difficult to negotiate. We stayed in the new extension block which was excellent in every way. Spacious, clean, and quiet (with the windows closed) were the watchwords. The... More

We stayed at the hotel for a night while we visited a cemetery near Ypres. Hotel was easy to find and close to the cemetery we were visiting. The hotel had a nice rustic feel. We were staying in the annex which was not exactly rustic but was functional and clean and had all the facilities we could want. Breakfast... More

Last minute booking at this great hotel. A short drive from Ypres . We stayed in the brand new building alongside the original hotel.. Lots of free parking. The rooms were lovely. We had a ground floor room facing the main road but it was very quiet. The electric blackout blinds were fantastic . The building also had a large... More

Location was perfect, the owners and workers very good, the food and service were like you were in someone's home, very congenial. The rooms were clean and quite spacious for European standards. The walls were wallpapered, as were the doors, some of the windows had screens and some did not. Our room had a view of a burnt annex and... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights early in June. It is on the eastern side of Ypres, about 3 km from the centre and easily accessible from the motorway. It has its own grounds containing a small pond (originally WW1 shell craters), a bunker, trenches and there are very interesting remnants of the war lying on the ground.... More

My son and I stayed Kasteelhof for 2 nights to visit Ieper and various WW1 museums and cemeteries. The location is perfect, only about 5 minutes from the centre of Ieper and next to the T'Hooge Crater Museum. The room we had was in the new annex and was large, modern and spotlessly clean. The meals that we had were... More

I recently stayed here with 3 friends whilst cycling across part of the western front. The hotel was very accommodating especially in providing secure storage for our bikes. It was ideally situated for our evening in Ypres and provided a clean, spacious room with a large en suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and a good night's sleep was... More

Four of us stayed here towards the end of a Western Front cycling tour and it was great for all our requirements .... bike storage, clean rooms & comfortable beds, hearty breakfast and just a couple of miles from Ypres.
