EXCELLENT. In the centre of the town down a very quiet street. Rooms were spacious, well-appointed and very clean. Breakfast, excellent: large variety of food; good tea and constant replenishment. You can eat enough to last all day! ALL staff were efficient, attentive and polite. A vast range of local tourist information, especially about the Ypres Salient and WW1 which... More

The receptionist was welcoming and very helpful in giving advice about the hotel's facilities and Ypres. The hotel has off-road parking around the back a short walk away and is very conveniently located close to the Menin Gate. The bedrooms are modern and with a large comfortable bed and modern ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast. All in all this is an... More

This was a great place to stay for the Ypres Salient. It is in the centre of town minutes from the men in Gate. The rooms are very comfortable and well sized. The breakfast was ok but the desk not always manned. The staff are friendly and it was good value for us all.

We got a lovely welcome, the girls could not do enough for us. They informed us about the Menin Gate ceremony accurately. They were so helpful. The room was large as was the bed. The bathroom adequate. There is semi-secure parking around the corner. Breakfast was good with a nice selection to fit most nationalities. I would certainly return.

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location for anyone interested in WWI. Literally a stones throw from the Menin Gate and the town square with parking for hotel guests just round the back. I stayed with my wife and 2 children and the staff, who spoke a ridiculous amount of languages, couldn't have been more helpful. The room... More

We stayed at the Albion Hotel last Sunday night for a short visit to Ypres. It is not the most luxurious hotel in the world but the warmth and friendliness of the staff is second to none. I stayed with my two sons (age 12 and 13) and found our room to be a bit cramped for the three of... More

Only being in Ypres for one night, I and a group 9 others stayed here in early August 14. A great hotel in the centre of the city. The staff were all very helpful and some spoke immaculate English - unlike my Flemish. The room was clean with very comfortable twin beds, the bathroom was also very clean and well... More

This was a short visit to cover the centenary commemorations of WWI. Situation is ideal being a two minute walk to the Menin Gate but in a quiet street away from the summer funfair noise in the main square. Everywhere in Ypres is therefore very accessible. Unfortunately, the hotel only supplies (a buffet) breakfast and very good it is too... More

Upon arrival (prior to check in time) we were warmly greeted by reception who I assume noted the english writing on my top and spoke english to us from the start. They appologised for not being able to check in immediately (which we didn't expect.) They suggested some touring to help pass time. We were provided with two excellent local... More
